Could you be a new voice on Radio Abbey?
We have an exciting new line up of shows coming up in March, but before we reveal all we wanted to call out for any new budding volunteer presenters.

We are looking for new presenters to fill over ever expanding schedule of progammes. Have you ever wnated to host your own radio show or podcast but not sure where to start? Or maybe you have presented before and would like the chance to dust off the old mic and warm up your vocal chords!

Radio Abbey provides fantastic experience and training to aspiring presenters, podcasters and music enthusiats. We are currently recruiting for new Presenters and if you have the skills we're looking for, you could be entertaining our listeners with the music you love, the news that matters and a chance to be part of our radio community.

Confidence, enthusiasm and commitment are all the skill that are needed (although a little tech knowledge doesnt go a miss).

Hosting a show does take time though, so make sure you have the cpaacity to commit to creating and hosting your show each week. As a volnuteer lead community station, you don't get a producer, a pa and technician! But you do get the freedom to create your show, your way.

Requirements:
A confident and enthusiastic sounding voice
Very good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Excellent and fun ideas for content and features
Be punctual and committed
Adaptable to change as well as being quick to find a solution to any problems
Ability to work with a team and assits with fundraising for the station.

A little change to the schedule today, as Radio Abbey presenters have been taken down with the lurgy. So in place of Showtime Sarah will be airing her 'Read To Me' show about Medea. Medea is currently on and leading actress and awarding winning voice actor to talk about her role as Medea.
