The master storyteller and filmmaker made a string of award-winning films including Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet and The Elephant Man which shot at Shepperton Studios, as well as his surreal murder mystery TV series, Twin Peaks. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

25 years ago Tim Burton’s gloriously gothic 'Sleepy Hollow' was released in UK cinemas having . Production Designer Rick Heinrichs housed the Western Woods on H Stage, including a witch’s cave and the Tree of the Dead. The set included more than 500 dimmer-controlled space lights which were used to illuminate various sets through fog. The film won the Oscar® and the BAFTA for Production Design.
