I wanted to say that I was devastated to hear the news of Paul Danan’s passing and my heart cries out to Paul’s family. I was blessed to have known him and to have represented him up until about a year ago. He was a hugely talented actor and such a devoted father to his son whom he adored. Such a kind, caring and very gentle man whose smile lit up a room whenever he entered. He was leaving a beautiful legacy of his work at the Morning after drama school.
Paul was passionate about passing his knowledge and support to others who found themselves dealing with drug or alcohol abuse as a crutch to their own mental health struggles. I am ashamed to say I work in an industry that creates overnight success but does very little nothing to support actors when the work dries up and there is no longer valuation. You were enough Paul. God called Paul home and heaven gained a beautiful soul. A light went out across the world but his star will shine brightly.
If we do anything together let’s right this wrong. Let’s start the conversation. Let’s bring about change and support the mental health of our acting community as testament to his legacy.
