Tonight we watched a rough cut of our upcoming feature film, Pieces of Us. Excited, giddy and overjoyed are just a few of the words that come to mind to describe how we are feeling right now. There’s still more work to do be done before we reach the finish line but all is coming along swimmingly, and we absolutely can’t wait to share this beautiful story with you. Stay tuned. Some great news for some members of our Kernowfornia family.
Congratulations to Sinead Ferguson, Tim Seyfert and Winston Tija (who all worked on our 2nd feature film, Pieces of Us) for taking home awards tonight at the Cornwall Monologue Competition. Sinead, Tim and Winston all won honours for their individual monologues. Sinead (who plays lead character Delilah in Pieces of Us) won Best Actress for her monologue “The Wedding Speech”. Tim (who plays co-lead Jack and wrote Pieces of Us) won Best Actor for his monologue “Beautiful Boy”. And Winston (who worked as a production assistant on Pieces of Us) won Best Cinematography for his monologue “A Place Called West”. Big congrats to all three.

And just like that - our debut feature, Nowhere, has finished its festival run. And what a ride it's been. We're incredibly grateful to all the festivals who gave us valuable space on their programs, and for the recognition the film managed to receive.
The goal of this project was always to just simply get a film made, and that still remains our true accomplishment; however, it also warms us dearly to know that our little zero budget film may have resonated with a handful of other people too.
More news is coming soon about where Nowhere might be available to watch, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, we'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported this film and the collective efforts of everyone involved. We look forward to the next adventure to come. Below is a rundown of Nowhere's festival run.

Can’t believe it’s been a month since we wrapped on our second feature film, Pieces of Us. We’re all still buzzing from the wonderful experience shared by everyone involved. It truly was one of those magical shoots that none of us wanted to end. And now, comes post-production to put it all together.

A huge congratulations to all of our crew who recently graduated from their respective universities! It’s an amazing achievement and we’re very proud. Remember to always push yourself to keep learning.

At Kernowfornia we pride ourselves on giving people the opportunity to get their first credits/experience on a film set. We take the time to show our crew and cast on the ways a film set works so that they have the confidence to step on a big film set.

And that’s a wrap on our second feature film, Pieces of Us, a joyous adventure from start to finish. Words cannot begin to express how elated we are at what has been accomplished. The film is in the can, but now as they say ”the real work begins.” Thank you to everyone who has supported us along this wild ride and to the amazing cast and crew who helped make this possible. There's plenty of action in Helston today - literally! 🎬 You may have spotted lots of people in high vis around The Bookshop in Helston and we can now reveal filming has started on a new feature-length film by the award-winning Kernowfornia, fresh from success in Monaco, Montreal and the US. One week to go…

In a weeks time principle photography begins for our second feature ‘Pieces of Us’. A beautiful story written by Tim Seyfert and directed by Ben Fullman. We are excited to start the journey into production and will do our best to keep you up to date along the way.

Our debut feature ‘Nowhere’ was honoured at the Montreal Independent Film Festival last weekend where it was an official selection. Congratulations to writer/director Tim Seyfert who was recognised with the award for Best First-Time Filmmaker. Another wonderful honour for our little film. Thank you, as always, to everyone reading this for your support of our work. Grateful and appreciative.

We had an incredible script read yesterday with the talented cast and crew of ’Pieces of Us’! A big shoutout to our amazing actors for bringing their characters to life with such passion. The energy in the room was electric, and it’s clear that this film is going to be something special. Grateful to be part of this journey with such a dedicated team. Stay tuned for more updates!
