Bio :
Soul Scientist (Andreia Gomez) is a musician, producer and DJ with over a decade of experience in performing and producing music. She creates ecstatic psychedelic journeys that blend live sound manipulation and guitar playing. Earth-rumbling beats, electrifying guitar riffs and ethereal sound effects are the hallmark of her mixes. Her sets include the works of Astrix, Electric Universe, Outsiders, Avalon and Vini Vici to name a few, rearranged and remixed live and in the studio. With added sound effects, samples and instrumental layers, each track has Soul Scientist’s unique arrangement and musical signature.
In just 6 months from her debut gig, her unique style has taken her to play some of the UK's most prestigious parties such as Tribe of Frog, Illusiom, SubAqua and Savage Hippiez, sharing stages with established DJs such as Florescence, Ezkimo, Thallom and Donny Mac, and be included in the trance revolution podcast alongside Vini Vici. She signed a deal with Simbiotyk records to officially release her guitar remixes, was made resident DJ for Audasmic Tribe and will be on Tour from May til October.
She was the songwriter and lead guitarist for prog metal band MIND, who shared stages with psychedelic rock legends Hawkwind in 2019. She started to DJ as a side project, fascinated by the possibility of bringing sound manipulation into live performance, this soon became her main focus. Experienced in playing a variety of styles whilst heavily influenced by psychedelic rock and progressive metal, she found her calling in playing guitar to her psytrance remixes.
As someone who often experiences altered states of consciousness purely from dancing, she aims to induce similar states in others. Being flooded by ecstatic feelings of love and joy accompanied by beautiful visions conveys the true meaning of psychedelic trance music. The power it has to change our brain chemistry so deeply as to induce trance, visions and mystical experiences makes music the science of the soul, which is why she goes by the name Soul Scientist
