Availability

Between today (June 17th) and the 15 August I will only have very very limited space available for TV aerial and satellite work. The spaces that are available will be set aside for emergencies only.
I will be away on holiday from 29th July - August 13th.

Broadband issues Inverness

It seems there's a huge outage for certain broadband users including Sky Broadband... With everything quickly going online, and being reliant on the internet, maybe it's time for a reality check, and not quite time to dump your aerials and satellites for your TV experience, especially here in the Highlands of Scotland.

With only 2 more working weeks for myself up to Christmas, new year and not back from holiday until the 16th January, I'm not putting up a diary of places I have booked in. Areas I still have room for new jobs are as follows

Inverness and surrounding areas (15 miles)
Dingwall and surrounding areas (15 miles)
The black isle.
Lochness side.

I've said the Black isle but this week I'll be in Cromarty (possibly Wednesday) and this will be the last visit to Cromarty.

For all my customers this year, and past years I thank you so much and hope you have a fantastic Xmas and a very happy New year.

Jobs I hate being called to, but this is happening more and more here in and around Inverness.

I will not name the company as of yet, that not only did this job, but over charged the OAP couple by 4 times the amount I would have priced initially. (The reason for not naming them is because the couple have given this company the chance to at least refund the fee I charged to rectify the job). The couple are aware I am putting this post up, and encouraged me to do so in the hope they get some of their money back.

Anyone out there that thinks satellite cable will work while joined the way they are below should never be in the industry, let along joining them onto the wrong cables. The engineer left the couple with no satellite signals to their sky box but still charged them for the job. This is not mentioning the wall mounting of the TV very left of centre between 2 windows which looked very obvious, and nothing installed to even receive the skyQ box to the TV.

Before anyone starts speculating who the company was, I'll tell you who it wasn't, and fellow companies that I'd recommend if I was unable to attend myself.
SIS Digital, Aerial Satellite Services and VT:TV all companies along with myself that would never have done this.

The couple have tried on a number of occasions to contact the engineer, phoning, texting, emailing and leaving messages etc to no joy of any answers up to today.

It's nearly the 1st of December which means a busy month for everyone.
Usually I would put a post up with which days I'm in which area but this year I'm only putting up the areas outwith my usual working areas.

The majority of December I will be through out Inverness-shire and Easter Ross-shire (diary will be decided weekly as usual on a sunday) along with:

Thurs 1st Dec - Aviemore and surrounding area
Thur 15th Dec - Aviemore and surrounding area

Last day is 23rd Dec

Strictly Emergancy only dates: Dec 24th, Dec 27th, morning of Dec 28th.

I will then be on holiday from midday 28th Dec until Mon 16th January. (phone will be on voicemail during this period)

Apologies for not putting up any posts in a good while due to work being very busy, and with that thank you all for the continued support, its very much appreciated.

As we are now coming up to the end of October, it's that time of year some love, and some loath, it's the run up to Christmas 🎅.......... (I know, I know but I've already apologies once on the post 🤣)

Every year this gets hectic from the middle of November right up to Christmas eve, and I will post up my diary for this period closer to the time, but if you want to get booked in early, here are the following services:

Here in the Highlands of Scotland we still struggle with good broadband speeds. Today I installed my first Starlink system and with download speeds of 144MBs this could be the rural answer to the next generation of Broadband. I say rural but with fibre still not available in 95% of the Highlands, this is an alternative.
