Joelinton saw a second Newcastle spot kick saved, Sangaré hit the bar, and when Awoniyi skied a fifth penalty, Longstaff duly converted the Toon Army's fifth to go through 4-3.

Jordy Lee rolls off the back back of a weekend hat-trick in the 8-0 victory over Woodthorpe by opening the scoring on Wednesday night. The Vics added a second in the second half to make it six wins out of six in this amazing start to the season and another clean sheet too.

Changes made before a lacklustre 90, spot kicks were ominous when Collins missed the opener, Brown converted, Jackson didn't, Zetterström saved, Forsyth needed to score but he didn't. League 2 beats Championship 3-2 on penalties.
