It a nice surprise when you find out the BBC has put together a 10 minute reel of footage you shot for them at the 2023 and 2024 World Pilot Gig Champs and added them onto iplayer.

This week I have been out filming Tuna, Fin & Minke Whales. Getting in the water during a feeding frenzy was a truely exhilarating experience. Highfield Boats providing the perfect tools for the job. The 5.4m coaster dwarfed by the shear scale of the worlds second largest whale. In one photo you can see the circle of wash left by the diving whale behind the boat and in another the tail of the Fin whale as it begins its dive down to 80metres.

It has been an awesome summer working with Highfield Boats on this promo for the 2022 Southampton International Boatshow. Showcasing my business and what adventures are possible on a Highfield boat of this size we pretty much tried to fit in every watersport possible! The Isles of Scilly certainly fits well within their tag line ‘Dare to Explore’. Looking forward to catching up with them at the boatshow!

An evening trip out to the Pol Bank on the rib to look for some wildlife. Managed to see a Minke Whale 100 metres away before it disappeared into the blue. Got a few shots of Sapphire on their shark fishing trip to catch them just in time tagging and releasing a blue shark. Thursday 28th July.

A trip out yesterday to the Sevenstones lightship. Often seen from the plane and helicopter on the way to and from Scilly. An amazing day for it.
