What’s on in Huddersfield this week ✨

HCMF - Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival is in full swing now so I’ve added some of the free events that are happening on Monday afternoon to highlight that 🎶(for the full programme check their website!)

Michael McIntyre is coming to Lawrence Batley Theatre on Thursday, but apparently the tickets sold out in 3 minutes, so if you haven’t got one, you’d better go see Larkins at Parish or visit Huddersfield Art Gallery! ✨

Apna Bazaar night market is back this Friday and so are Long Island 😍

Some more lights switch on events this Saturday 🎄, Yellow Goose Dance plays at Small Seeds, we’ve got a reggae night at Northern Quarter, Huddersfield and Sonar Sessions #3 - Mishra + The Midges are back this Sunday! 🫶

Plus Huddersfield Jazz Guitar Festival during the whole weekend at Rat and Ratchet 🎸

Parish has 9 (!) gigs this week ❤️‍🔥 Plantfood returns to Huddersfield to play at Northern Quarter, Huddersfield🎷and Ink Spill is hosting another poetry night 📖 We’ve got two more music festivals in town (Almondbury Jazz Festival on Saturday 🎷and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival starting on Friday 🎶) and a day time family friendly rave at Small Seeds 🥳 Aaaand the Huddersfield Christmas Light Switch On is happening this weekend too 🎄

When Vikings walked the streets of Huddersfield 🔥

A large scale immersive adaptation of Beowulf (oldest surviving English poem from the Anglo-Saxon period) created by Proper Job Theatre Company for Kirklees Year of Music 2023.

It was a sold out show, but the Viking procession was free to join - the crowd grew bigger every night! 🔥
