The weather's a bit grim this evening so we recommend staying in the warm, cosying up and listening to a podcast 🎧☕

If you haven't listened to our latest episode with the talented Charlie and Alex of West Sussex band Graffiti yet, you're in for a treat. Our chat with these two young musicians is the perfect antidote to the cold and rain 😊

Join us as we talk to them about their new single - Nobody Knows Where We Are Going - an uplifting indie folk tune that will have you dreaming (or reminiscing) about glorious summer days 😎, the music industry and more.

🎤 Check…. Check…. Check – are you ready to rock? 🎸

If you attended the Sussex Sounds Festival in Horsham last August, you might recognise the guests from our latest episode.

Alex (pictured left) and Charlie are the founding members of Crawley-based band, Graffiti which has been making a name for itself around West Sussex, playing a mix of covers and original tracks at a host of venues.

Earlier this month, the band released its first single – Nobody Knows Where We Are Going – an indie-folk tune that evokes feelings of hazy summer days – and which is set to put these 17-year-old musicians on a route to stardom 🤩

We caught up with Charlie and Alex, just before the single (produced by Jamie Amos) was released to find out about the band, the new single, and Graffiti’s future plans.

Now it's December we're officially counting down to Christmas 🎄

One popular church service held at this time of year is the Christingle - an advent service where children light candles held within oranges.

Horsham's oldest church St Mary's Church Horsham will hold its Christingle service this Sunday 8 December ⛪

We talked about Christingle and the rest of the Christmas services at St Mary's with reverend Lisa Barnett, one of the guests on our Christmas special episode (no.33).

The Rec Rink has been a popular attraction as both a roller and ice rink since it opened as the latter in 2021.

On 15 November returned to an ice rink again ⛸ just in time for the festive season!🎄🎅 The rink's time is limited, however, as the venue closes for good on 5 January 😢

Owner Rebecca McDowell joined us on our special festive episode to tell us more about the rink and future plans.

Tomorrow night (22nd November) the bandstand will be looking decidedly more festive than it does in this photo as Christmas is officially launched in Horsham by Your Horsham and Horsham District Council

The Carfax will also be filled with great market stalls selling food and drink and that's thanks to the organisational skills of Simon Teesdale at Horsham Food Rocks.

Simon gives us the inside scoop on what to expect in the Carfax this Christmas in our special festive episode, where we talk to three amazing individuals who are helping to bring in the Christmas cheer.

For here's a little recap of our episodes published so far in 2024

😱 In January, we tackled the tricky topic of preparing for death with ‏celebrant and OneSpirit Interfaith minister, Jean Francis. It was nowhere near as morbid as you might think 😊https://bit.ly/SOlastwishes

✍Our February guest was author Lisa Brace whose first novel (under her own name) Star Survivor was published in March. Lisa told us about her forthcoming projects and shared some top tips for budding writers 📚 https://bit.ly/SOauthor

🔮We embraced the supernatural in April, talking to clairvoyant and psychic Sue Durdle about her gift. It's spooky stuff 👻https://bit.ly/SoHclairvoyant

☘Forager James Plumb joined us again in May, taking us on a tour of Horsham Park to learn about the plants we can consume and those we should definitely avoid! 🚫 https://bit.ly/SOforaging2
