Ella & Jack! 🤍

An incredible day complete with smoke bombs, face painting, sparklers, fireworks and even a flying groom!

During our pre-wedding chats, Ella and Jack decided they wanted a film to music only, so this was a little different to my usual style, but I'm always keen to push my creativity and I'm really pleased with what I was able to produce for them!

How stunning is Hawkstone Hall by the way!? I was so excited to get some aerial footage of this venue but it very nearly didn’t work out. On the day I lost my drone and had to travel back a few days later to try and find it. Luckily, with the help of a very confused farmer and a local holiday park, I was able to retrieve the drone and all the footage. Phew!

A huge shout out to all the suppliers who made this wonderful day even more wonderful!..

A truly Scottish wedding set in Clitheroe, England. 🤍

Lucy and Chris brought a very Scottish vibe to their wedding day, with a vast amount of their guests crossing the border to celebrate with them at the stunning Browsholme Hall & The Tithe Barn

Based on all the accents I heard throughout the day, many guests had even travelled from further afield, coming together to give Lucy and Chris a special day to remember. Even the rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. The fun carried on into the night with things getting a little wild during the ceilidh.

It was such a pleasure being a small part of their big day.

As we start the new year, I'm looking back over all the amazing weddings I shot in 2022; my busiest year yet!

To celebrate such an incredible year, I'm going to share some of the weddings I was lucky enough to attend, starting with this absolute belter of a day at Eden Barn! I was so busy in 2022 that I haven’t shared much from the year. I like to prioritise my time on creating the best films for my couples as well as spending any non-editing time with my family, but with only two weddings left to edit I think it’s time I shared some of the films I’ve created!

Abby and Ross were married in June and they definitely brought the party vibes! If you need inspiration on creating a great groom’s speech this is one to watch. This wedding had everything and it was so much fun putting their films together!

A stunning day at Foxtail Barns for Megan and Ayman.

Here's a few screengrabs taken from their recently delivered highlight film. 🤍

I'm often asked about how much posing of my couples I do. The truth is, I prefer to let the photographer direct you so they can get their desired shots while I capture the natural moments. Things like walking hand-in-hand to a chosen spot, the groom whispering something into the bride's ear to make her laugh, or a kiss. Subtle movement is key. In order to tell a story with my footage I also need to capture a variation of shots, so during the couple’s photo shoot time I'm often running around frantically to get what I need.

It was lovely working with their photographer Chris Chambers for the first time who led the shoot with Megan and Ayman so well. His experience meant he knew exactly what he wanted to achieve. I must admit, trying to keep up with his pace meant I had to recover for the following three days, but I was able to capture some beautiful moments on film which have become a real highlight of their film.

Bridal prep is one of my favourite times of the wedding day.

There's usually lots of excitement in the air. As the morning tends to be slower paced, I can get creative with my shots and experiment with different compositions and light. It's also a time when the bridal party can become familiar with how I work and we can get to know each other better which really helps them gain confidence around the camera. In fact, I'm often told I'm like another guest and people soon stop acknowledging that they're being filmed at all!

Pictured is Alex. Her wedding to Craig in Alnwick Treehouse was filled with love. We had the opportunity to privately use Alnwick Gardens, which is rarely closed off to the public, and they read each other their personal vows in front of the fountains. No doubt I'll be sharing some more images and videos from this amazing day in the future!

I've just squeezed in one more film package delivery this morning before I stop working for a few days. Feel like I can take a much needed breath now and enjoy some family time, eat too much and maybe even have a drink or three.

Tom and Claire's wedding films should have arrived in their inbox this morning. I can't wait to hear what they think... I have a feeling they're going to love them!

I've been extremely quiet again on social media recently. Instead, I've been putting all my energy into editing my final weddings of 2021 as well as trying to claw back a little time for my family who had a tough summer with me not being around as much as usual.

This year has been quite a year, not just for the many couples that were eventually able to tie the knot after multiple postponements and setbacks, but for me too. I never imagined that my first year of being a full time wedding filmmaker would be this intense. I'll be honest, there have been some very stressful moments, but they have been outweighed by all the amazing times I've had joining in with your celebrations, creating your films and of course all the amazingly positive feedback I've had from my couple's, their guests and other industry suppliers.

I've decided to close my books for 2022 now after reaching 25 weddings; the same amount I crammed into just seven months this year.

I have five weddings to edit from the tail end of 2021 and, as always, I will aim to get them to you as soon as possible. I also have one more wedding to film which I'm so excited for!

A beautiful Lake District wedding.

James and Georgina got married in the traditional market town of Kirby Stephen in Cumbria and celebrated afterwards at the stunning overlooking Lake Windermere.

Everything came together to make this a videographer's dream.

If you're wondering why you haven't seen any recent posts, don't worry, I've not vanished, I'm literally working non-stop behind the scenes prioritizing my film deliveries.

Thank you to all my amazing couples who have shown so much understanding as I work through a crazy summer of weddings in my first year of being full time. It's been full on but I've loved every minute!

Editing films takes time, especially to the standard I expect for my deserving couples, and I appreciate all your patience while I get through this summer's madness.

I'm sure Hannah and Marc are going to love their films as much as I do. I can't wait to hear from them!

A little sneak preview of a recent styled shoot at the beautiful Pinchinthorpe Hall.

I've been playing around with a darker, moodier look with this particular frame but I'm not sure I'll take the whole edit this way, what do you think?
