NewsFlash: Through the Grapevine/Blast From The Past/Swansong Publishing UK: After the flood and the news all photos, of the band UPFRONT and their heady days between 1986-88, that were held online were about to be deleted. We managed to get hold of many of them and create a 40th commerative mini Photo Book. We would love to offer it to any interested parties. All we the friends of Upfront need to do is cover our costs. We intented to release it to only close friends of Upfront early next year but we think it's such a great reminder of great times that maybe more people , people into 80s music, style and fashion would be in interested. We will advertise a price ASAP and keep you all informed of a release. Please be aware any profits made from the sale with be donated to a charity.

getting this music thing out of our heads and down on to tape has never ever been about anything than that. We've never been interested about being part of this ever growing community of bands and music makers. We've always been doing this song writing thing in solitude. It's been more about getting to grips with something that has never been comfortable, never come easy and has more often than not been nothing but a way of beating ourselves up. The old adage "every word rip from the soul' has been to close to the fact sometimes. So why have we continued, good question, it comes down to one fact, we can't get away from the need to express ourselves with the little talant for self abuse we have. The modern age we all live in makes the torture we put ourselves through even worse cos no one isinterested in any thing but themselves no one is listening. I guess we find it more cathartic because we really are not part of any community and no community is a supportive place anymore. The value of ones creative soul has been devalued to the point it has to be totally self promoted and mometarized. For any artist to think believe hope or dream of a career within a like minded world has gone. We had a dream career stenario that died years decades ago and where we have found ourselves just bares out our solitude''. Mark Lizzardfrequency
