Our team, our virtual tours and our virtual reality experiences have been working non-stop throughout the pandemic to keep communities, places and people connected. Schools, hotels, museums, hospitals, engineering and construction firms to name but a few. As the restrictions in parts of the England lift today, we raise our headset to all of you to thank you for your custom and support and wish you a successful summer season - whatever it brings. Our non-Matterport UK hosted virtual tours and VR experiences are not currently impacted. We're sorry for any disruption and will provide an update once we know more. We are extremely honoured to have worked with Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity to create an interactive 3D 360° virtual time capsule to record and archive some of the places and faces that have passed through the doors of the former Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh as they close for the final time.

As well as a chance to view the more than 1,700 photos, videos and audio memories submitted by patients, families, staff and visitors over the 126 years at Sciennes Road, you can take a virtual walk down some of the corridors, pop into the Charity Shop, take a seat in Outpatients waiting area and much more from today.

There's a strong personal connection for us; our MD's late grandmother worked here as a Medical Secretary and volunteered for the Friends of Sick Kids Charity for over 50 years. This special place means so much to so many for a number of different reasons and we hope that this experience will bring something to you as we mark this moment together and reflect as we remember the "Sick Kids" legacy that is handed to the amazing new Royal Hospital for Children and Young People.

A 360° live guided tour is a fantastic way for attractions like Royston Cave to engage with fans and visitors. Held within the interactive tour, it runs on all major devices with no downloads or software for the visitor. The built-in video conference overlay means the full high-resolution panoramas and interactive hotspots are displayed for each visitor, there’s no pixelly screenshare here. The host can also take questions and offer control to visitors to explore on their own while still connected.

We’re thrilled that the team at Royston Cave have enjoyed their first foray into virtual tours and that they have done so with us. We look forward to the next wave of tours.
