End of an era.
BBC announced that Radio 2 DJ Johnnie Walker has passed away at the age of 79. He retired in October this year.
An inspiration to us all.

I just heard the news that Bob Grover passed away on Christmas Eve.
I met Bob once briefly when the Piranhas played support for Bad Manners at the Concorde 2.
We exchanged a few words , well me saying how much a fan I was and Bob replied " Cool" and headed to the bar.
I had several chats with him as I always wanted him to appear on my Ska Punk and other junk show for Radio Airbourne .

Bob wrote some cracking songs and his comedy wit shone through.
His songs described with humour some serious issues.

The band are best remembered for "Tom Hark " and he was part of the punk ska explosion of the late 70s and he was part of the soundtrack to my youth.
RiP Bob and thank you for the music.

Well Radio 2 had broadcasting legend Zoe Ball step down this wee.

In a double blow for broadcasting its also the last Baz Sunday show today.
Join him 2 to 4pm for his Christmas show .
It will be a fab show

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that from the first of January 2025 his station is closing down

This due to a lack of funds to pay the licence fees to the PPL & PRS.

We wish to thank all our listeners and presenters for keeping us going and please keep coming back as we may reappear at sometime in the near future.

Johhny Woods is back this Sunday spining a fab set of tunes to keep you company this Sunday from 4 to 6 pm.

There is no doubt he will revisist some classic tracks from these eras.

Well after a glitch ( not a Grinch ) Baz is bacl on Hastings radio 2 to 4 pm Sunday 15th December ........ He has lined a visit up from The Police, he will encourage you to do the "Christmas Twist " . He wont break his stride and will resist the urge to be kissing in the back row of the movies this week. We have Holly " Buddy Holly" , and can Baz "keep it all in " after walking "500 miles" . Is "Clint Eastwood" "Sweet but Psycho?".
Pink will defo get "The party started" ------ If that floats your boat the Baz has been well and truly "Busted".
