Our third Insert for BBC Morning Live aired today. Mark Lane explores the beach at Seaton Carew, with free-to-use Beach Wheelchairs, courtesy of Beach Action North East. He is joined by Amy Pohl, an accessibility influencer who is a regular user of the service, and also by some local care home residents who like a glass of bubbly at the beach!! Another Brilliant day of filming for BBC Morning Live, today we were in South Shields and Teesside with the fabulous Zoe Hardman, tackling a tough to talk about subject!
The sun was out all day in South Shields and we had a great time!

Yesterday was our first BBC Morning Live filming day, we were in Staffordshire with the wonderful Sheree Murphy, a couple of truckers and even the Highways Agency, to talk about the issue of litter on Britains roadsides. We had a fantastic production team with us and that's the first film of three in the can!

A big thanks goes to North East Screen and Helen Munson at BBC for the support on this commission.

Last night Lore - 2022 won the award for Best Drama, this film has been a labour of love, and at times hate. Thank you to writer/directors, James Bushe and Patrick Ryder for bringing the concept to me and trusting me to execute it, and also writer/director Greig Johnson for coming on board and making a brilliant segment.
Thank you so much to Scott Coulter, who not only brought his amazing skills to the film, but also the brilliant camera and lighting teams who worked on this ultra low budget film, and being such a low budget film we could not have done it without the generosity of Jamie Hutchinson at who supports so many grassroots productions in the north east. Thank you to all of the people who worked on and starred in this film, you are all amazing. This film was shot entirely in the north east with a mostly North East Cast and Crew! Biggest thanks of all goes to my wife Hayley Bouabda, who puts up with me doing stupid things like making films.
When I accepted the award I wanted to also address the trend of Bigger, Better, Fewer, which I believe does not support or nurture newer or disadvantaged talent.
There are so many outlets for content, that we should be giving more opportunities, not fewer!
Just this week Eva Yates from BBC film said that at the moment a debut film costs £3m. This should not be viewed as the norm, we need to fight against that kind of mentality. Making films IS A privilege, but it shouldn't be just for a privileged few.

We're very excited to be working with Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment on the release of Lore. We're excited for people to see this at AFM and hopefully audiences here can see it next year.
