School's Out Idea No'6: Want your child to be a confident swimmer and have fun at the same time - book them into Swim Camp by First Strokes Swim School based at Stanway, Billericay, Ipswich and Godmanchester.
Age ranges are grouped as 5-7 yrs, 7-9yrs and 9-12yrs.

School's Out Idea No'5: Do you have a little performer that would love to take part in a week long production meeting new friends and then being in a show? Sign them up to one of the many Stagecoach workshops from Musical High School to Trolls, there's something for all ages. The real cost of hosting a summer BBQ revealed!!
If we do finally get some sun and want to celebrate with friends the cost of hosting can get quite high so don't expect much change from £120. That's for the most popular items such as gin £18, vodka £17, lager (18 cans) £18 plus soft drinks alone can total to over £60 and then the food; burgers, sausages, steak, chicken, salads etc.
If you do decide to host and don't have that budget, you can try getting cheaper food choices like chicken drumsticks, frozen burgers and so on. You can also ask friends to bring their own drink of choice. I know when i go to a BBQ, i always take a bottle so no need to over spend on too many options of drink.
Now let's prey for the sun and enjoy the summer with friends and family!

Working Parent entitlements April 2024
From April 2024 2-year-olds of eligible working parents will be able to access 15 hours of funded childcare per week (the term after the child’s 2nd birthday)
To check whether you are eligible in the first instance visit https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/ as this will help you to understand what entitlements you may be able to receive.
If eligible you need to make sure you apply before the beginning of the term that you want the funding to start. Please note: If you apply after the beginning of the term that you want funding to start, your provider will not be able to claim the Working Parent entitlement.

To claim funded childcare entitlements, the Early Years Childcare provider you use will need to be on the Early Years Register with Ofsted or with a registered early years childminder and have a funding contract with Essex County Council. Visit their page
