Following great success at the film festivals, we wanted to bring you this Community Screening Event at the Rex Cinema Elland on Sunday 26th January so that you had an opportunity to see the film.

Filmed in the heart of the community, Rugby Town is a warm-hearted film that tells the history of 150 years of Halifax Rugby League. Full of both amusing and emotional stories, the archive footage takes you back to the glory days at Thrum Hall, and showcases the beautiful Calderdale countryside with stunning drone footage.

A bit of Christmas Movie 🍿 fun…

As some of you know I used to do acting and supporting artist work while learning my filmmaking craft. What better way than this to get first hand experience of working on some major films with great actors and directors.

This is my favourite Christmas film appearance…
Love Actually, directed by Richard Curtis.
I played a music producer in the scene where Bill Nighy wins the Xmas Number One. Blink and you would miss me… 😂

This was filmed in City Hall on the Southbank.

What a night… We didn’t win the big prize but we are honoured to have been a finalist Sport Film Festival.

Some great films won and just to be amongst them is incredible as many had very big budgets and for our film to get this far is an incredible achievement.

Great first day at FOCUS meet the makers. Lovely to meet Emmanuel Anyiam-Osigwe MBE from British Urban Film Festival and catch up with film marketing guru Pascal Fintoni. Team Rainbow Trout Films

Great to bump into lots of fellow producers.

Lots of great ideas 💡 and talks. My favourite so far is learning more about working with casting directors.

Its great that we are able to book out Rex Cinema Elland for this showing. Tickets are £10 each and there will be a Q&A with the director and some of the stars after the film.

Great fun this morning on 🎙️Phoenix FM🎙️with presenter George Buswell, talking about our Documentary film ‘Rugby Town’ after our recent win in Milan FICTS Federation Film Festival and our recent studio move to Dean Clough Ltd in Halifax with Albion Street Studios with Danny Thompson Commercial Photography.
