If your not up to much tonight I will be appearing on Steve Taylor's show on Black Country Radio at 9pm, where I will be playing Mark Stanway's Kingdom of Madness: Classic Magnum version of a track we recorded not so long ago (track was recorded at Backbeat Studio, Mosely, Stage Studios - Music Rehearsal & Recording Studio Complex, Halesowen & Vault Studios, Kidderminster). Not only that I will also be debuting a brand new Moose Jaw Band track called 'If I' (which I've just literally just finished mixing) we will be setting up for release to all major platforms on May 10th :) so keep your ears peeled and tune in. Also I heard a little rumour that 'If I' may also be getting an airing this evening on another awesome local radio show after 10pm :)

This mornings bike ride was to the wonderful soundtrack of Ordinary People’s awesome Hurling Out EP. I am very proud of this EP as it was amongst other tracks recorded, engineered and produced at Stage Studios over many months including lots of other tracks that didn’t make it to this ace EP. I think the lads Sam, Jake & Tom amongst the guests they had play various instruments including myself here and there have done a fantastic job.

So a little while ago I had the brainwave of making my control room larger as it was getting a bit cramped in here, especially when I had a band of 5 or more people listening to recording sessions etc. I thought Ha this will be easy, I'm only reducing the thickness of a wall and re-insulating as the first time I did it, it was a bit rushed and not as great as it should have been. Anyway so the wall is now complete. No more temporary foam that I installed as a stop gap. There are still things to be done but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel :) Yay :)

Kingdom of Madness are pleased to announce their first live shows outside of the UK, with the following shows in Spain confirmed for April 2024:

For these shows, the band will be joined by vocalist Chris Dando, due to Mark Pascall being unavailable owing to prior commitments. Not wishing to turn down this opportunity to take Classic Magnum music to European audiences, the band counts itself highly fortunate to have the luxury of having the services of another world class vocalist to put his personal stamp on this great catalogue of songs for these dates....

All of us at Stage Studios would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

We will be closed, Christmas Eve, Christmas and Boxing Day. We will also be closed New Years Eve and New Years Day. All other days we are open as usual and will be operating our normal hours for those days.

We are open Monday to Thursdays 10am till 11pm. Fridays 10am till 10pm, Saturdays 10am till 6pm & Sundays 10am till 10pm. We have some limited availability for recordings too should you want to get a quick Yuletide tune in :)
