We are a family run business, established in 2007. Run by Paul, a fully qualified and experienced Outdoor Instructor. With over 30 years’ experience in the outdoors. Our wider team consists of Shannon, Cameron, and Josh. All experienced and competent climbers and paddlers, who help with the activities and sessions at the climbing wall and on the water. Behind th
e scenes is Tanya, wife to Paul, who runs the administration of the business, which includes the bookings, website, marketing, and more! So we really are a family business, working together to bring a smile to our customers' faces to share our passion for being active and getting outdoors. We run a climbing wall out of The Old Sardine Factory in West Looe; as well as Canoeing, Kayaking, and Paddle Boarding trips along the river and shoreline. We also offer land-based outdoor activities such as mountain biking, bushcraft, camping, and hill walking. All within Cornwall and Devon. We work closely with many local schools and youth groups providing fun affordable activity sessions for all to enjoy. We hold an Adventurous Activity Licence (AALA), we are accredited to British Canoeing, British Mountaineering Council, and run the Mountain Bike Instructor Award Scheme. Our aim is to let you have fun, make you laugh, and for you to make memories that will last a lifetime. The Climbing Wall
Tucked at the back of the Old Sardine Factory is our stunning new Climbing Wall. There are 6 roped climbs, and a low level traversing wall. Suitable for beginners and the more experienced climber, looking for a quiet indoor wall to practice and enhance their skills. We have automatic belay units on 3 climbs, including a chimney climb. Our instructors are on hand to guide and support even the most nervous climbers. All the activities we have on offer can be found on our whats’ on-page on our website. Our guided river trips are very popular all year round and have even been recommended in the Sunday Times Travel Magazine. We travel along the West Looe river in tandem sit on top Kayaks. There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen during the trip. We stop for a short break on the bank and have a hot drink and snack (provided by us). We have been getting a lot of enquiries about bookings for the climbing wall.
So this a gentle reminder we no longer run the Climbing Wall in Looe. We closed at the end of October last year. Sadly we do not know if there are plans to re open or use it as a wall again, however we suggest any enquiries are directed to Looe Harbour Commission.
We are selling off some used stock, all available to buy tomorrow in Looe, far end of Mill Pool car park, next to Jewsons! We will be there from 11am tomorrow so come and grab a bargain before they are gone. 🌊🛶

Sadly tomorrow Saturday 28th October will be our last day here. It's been an amazing journey and we take with us lots of memories of the fun times we have had here.
We will still be running water activities and other outdoor activities so please keep watching for news and events!
Tomorrow morning we are running our regular climbing club 10 - 11am.

It brings us great sadness to announce that from the end of October we will no longer be running the Climbing Wall in Looe. 🥺
This has been a difficult decision to make, we have enjoyed our many years running the wall and being part of the Old Sardine Factory journey from the beginning.
We are continuing to run other outdoor activities and will be taking the business in a new direction.

The Climbing Wall is open every Saturday morning throughout October. We will also be open during half term with additional dates and times being published soon! 🧗♀️☺️

We've had a busy few weeks and would like to thank everyone for their continued support this summer. We've had a great time seeing some of our regulars and meeting some new faces too! 🙌
We are open this afternoon and tomorrow until lunchtime. Then we are taking a well earned family break for two days. Outside of running this business, Paul is also a lecturer at a local college in Outdoor Education....as he's back to that next week we thought a couple of days off were in order. 😁 🏕️

Did you know we don't just run a climbing wall! We have been running water activities on the West Looe river for over ten years. We started off predominantly offering canoeing, however, soon kayaking and paddle boarding became a popular choice and these are now our main activities.
We currently offer two hour guided and instructed SUP and kayak trips, which are suitable for complete beginners to the more experienced paddler. All our groups are mixed abilities, you can be assured of a well led session that offers something for all participants, with safety being a strong focus.
Paul is a level 3 coach, with nearly 20 years experience in various settings. We pride ourselves in our commitment to promote safe paddling and encourage anyone new to the sport to get some training with a suitable provider.
We have sessions running through August, however, please be aware all our trips are tide dependent and there is limited availability at present. Price £35 per person, minimum age 10.

We have had a great first week of the summer holidays at the Climbing wall, it's been fab to see some old faces and meet some new ones too. 🙌
Just a little reminder that this year our opening times are slightly varried due to running with reduced staffing over the summer and working off site on activities. 🤸♀️
