Due to the previous deadline clashing with exams/assignments, we have extended the call for pitches.

📝 New deadline: Friday 31st January

Only a short pitch outlining the topic/piece you intend to submit is required.

This only needs to be a couple of sentences - you don’t need to send a draft of anything just yet!

📸 Calling all photographers! 📸

We are looking for a photo to include on the front page of the new edition of our print magazine! 🗞️

This could be somewhere on either campus, of Guildford, or something you feel is representative of life at Surrey 🦌

Our only exemption is that the photo doesn’t include faces 🫥

The winner will be featured on the magazine, as well as receiving a free Stag Magazine T-Shirt! 👕

Deadline: Friday 22nd November 📝

The winning photo will be chosen by vote, and announced the following evening! 🗳️

“Hey everyone, I’m Bonnie, I’m a second year English literature student and I am very excited to be joining The Stag this year as cultural and creative editor. I love to read, especially mythological retellings and short stories. I’m really looking forward to working alongside new and experienced writers for different projects and reading all of your submissions!”

“Hello! My name is Ceri and I’m Co-editor for Culture and Creative Writing for 2024/2025.
