A Greenock primary school hit all the high notes with judges after giving an 'outstanding' performance at the Inverclyde Music Festival.

The St Mary's Primary Choir, consisting of P5, P6 and P7 pupils were given a mark of 92 for their performance in the festival's choral class.

The talented youngsters also won the category overall, securing the Ardgowan Trophy for the third time in a row.

24/01/2013 - PLANS were unveiled for a massive windfarm in the hills above Greenock -incorporating 10 turbines 110 METRES tall.

Greenock-based company 2020 Renewables earmarked a site within Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park for the major development.

The site lay a couple of miles south of Greenock town centre, three kilometres south west of Port Glasgow and over seven northwest of the centre of Kilmacolm.
