We have now secured new broadcasting software and our IT Team are now working ti install and run all their tests to make sure we have no more problems. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone for keeping in touch as it is you the listener’s that help keep us motivated to get us back on the internet playing the sounds you like. We will give you an exact date that we will be back on air very soon

We are sorry to announce that we are still trying to fix our broadcasting problems. Our IT team have been working very hard to get us back on air but it looks like we will need to look at another system. We will keep you informed of our progress.

Well we were broadcasting and doing well but we now have a software problem which we are unable to fix ourself so we are having to put a new software system in place and this is going to take a few days. Again we apologise to all our listeners but we will be back bigger and better with a range of new programmes which will be added to our website.

Good evening everyone we are looking for your help. As you are aware we have programmes on Tuesday night Reggae Friday night Soulful 70s Saturday night The Soul of Philadelphia and Sunday night The Sound of Motown. These programmes go out live from 6pm to 7pm.
We are thinking of extending the times to Two Hours and starting at 7pm through to 9pm.
It would help us to make a decision if you could let us know if this would be better for you to be able to listen to these programmes. We are looking to add further programmes to our schedule in the near future so your feedback is really important to us to help us grow our listening figures. We would also like to hear your thoughts on our station and any ideas you may have.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of WattStax a benefit concert organised by Stax Records to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the 1967 Watts rebellion in Los Angeles.
The concert was attended by more than 100.000 people and apparently lasted 7 hours and was held at the Memorial Coliseum on August the 20th 1972.
Artists who performed that day were Isaac Hayes Rufus Thomas The Bar Kay’s Rance Allen Carla Thomas and many more.
The concert was opened by The Reverend Jesse Jackson.
Tomorrow we will play songs by some of those artists to celebrate this event. Sadly some those Artists are no longer with us but they left a lasting legacy. I hope you can join us.
