I've been so busy I forgot that 1st June was Out of Key Studios 7th birthday 🎈

I don't have any special pictures to celebrate this monumental occasion, so here's a photo of blocking my entrance. Makes a change from it being a crane, or a delivery next door.

The Audio Junk Food team have been smashing it over the past two years, focusing on the local talent across Gloucestershire and giving them all a platform to showcase their music.

F**k yeah! One single room booked over 450 times this year. Over 1100 hours of music coming out of the speakers.

Time to look into improvements within the studio and how to create a damn good music scene from this place. Let's build this into a community we can be proud of! Who's in!?

HEY WHATS UP GLOUCESTER?!

We don't do too many of these because life is a hectic whirlwind of occasions right now and less is more, right!?

But next month we're hosting 2000 Trees Festival stalwarts The St. Pierre Snake Invasion for a super intimate barrage of noise. This is probably the tightest venue you'll see these guys play live at, and certainly one to say 'i was there'.

As with all our shows, bring some drinks of choice along with you (and a few mates)

Also, if you're planning on coming along, buying an advance ticket really helps out Magnetic Music and their stress levels.

11 years ago today. OOKS was known as Live at Gloucester Studio and was run by , we built the smallest of drum risers as we had recently started putting on Secret Shows.

HEY THERE!

I'm going on holiday in a few days, and the bookings site will be closed out to new bookings from Wednesday 3rd at 23:00.

So if you'd like to book a slot between Wednesday 3rd August and Wednesday 16th August then I'd highly recommend doing it in the next couple of days!

So I'm putting on a show on Saturday. It's not at the studio, but on the same site and the vibes will be exactly the same as a secret show.

Before Out of Key Studio I used to be in a band called Stillbust. We had the best of times touring all over Europe in beat up vans. 10 years ago we released an album called 'A Few Things We Might Agree On (A Few Things We Might Not)', it got some great online reviews and magazines like Kerrang and Rocksound said it was good. After not playing together for nearly 10 years we're giving it one last outing.

If you haven't got yourself a ticket yet, or just hearing about this for the first time and would like to come, there are tickets available on the door (we made actual tickets to take home). Head to Morelands Business Park and look for the signs/people.

It has been brought to my attention that I do not post enough on social media, and that could make it look like Out of Key Studio is no longer open. This is bad business practice and I must improve.

I can confirm that Out of Key Studio is certainly open!

Blackstar Amplification have sorted us out with some sweet new gear for the studio that's now in and ready for you!

For now we have 2 new beautiful MKII cabs and one HT Club 50 MKII guitar amp with more gear on the way in the future.

All this is down to you lot coming in, booking in your droves and supporting this independent studio from day one.

We host bands, gigs, streamed sports events when stadiums were closed. We're the real pirates!
