Yesterday we welcomed Disney+'s Director of Unscripted Content Sean Doyle and Senior Manager of Unscripted Content Gaby Aung for an exclusive Commissioner Event.

During the session, they explored the latest Disney+ unscripted productions, including four-part series "Camden" featuring Dua Lipa and the upcoming fashion series “In Vogue”. They also discussed areas of interest for future commissions and how to best pitch an idea to their commissioning team.

Factual Fast Track is a development programme designed to accelerate the careers of Scotland and Northern Ireland’s most talented and creative factual Producers. The programme features paid placements, training opportunities, commissioning insights and the chance to be mentored by industry leaders.

The third iteration of the programme will take place from September 2024 to July 2025, and will offer 1-2 training events every month as well as up to 20 weeks of placement throughout the year.

This programme is funded by BBC , Channel4, Screen Scotland and Northern Ireland Screen.

She was one of the winners of our Channel 5 Pitching Challenge with Ben Frow, where three development executives were awarded a total of £6000 of development funding.

Last week we welcomed Jahirul Amin, Founder of CAVE Academy, for a two day Animation/VFX workshop as part of our Reset training.

The sessions covered reference gathering, how to build assets for animation, and how to best capture lighting. Our Reset trainees got to practice what they learned via a few short experiments throughout both days.

rad is a paid eight-month traineeship within a Scottish independent television production company which includes full training throughout the placement.

After nine months of training, our FormatLab delegates travelled down to London for a unique pitching session and studio visit. 📺

Our trainees got to pitch their brilliant ideas to Kalpna Patel-Knight, BBC Head of Entertainment, and Neil McCallum, Commissioning Editor, BBC Daytime & Entertainment.

They also had the chance to meet the BBC Studioworks team and attend a recording of ITV's The Chase.
