Brendan Rodgers has called for a return of the winter break amid a “really challenging” fixture schedule at this time of year.
Scottish football dropped the annual January break this season as a result of the expanded Champions League and Europa League campaigns.
The Celtic manager, who also confirmed they will likely only have one of their five wingers available for the trip to Ross County on Saturday, is hoping it can be brought back if possible.

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson says he’s keen to add two new faces to his squad before the end of January, with the signing of a winger “looking very close”.
The Paisley club have already made two signings since the transfer window opened, with goalkeeper Zach Hemming returning on loan and striker Owen Oseni joining from Gateshead.
Robinson is keen to do more business though, with signing targets coming in and that freeing up some players to find other clubs.
“I would like to add two more,” he said. “One that we are very close to completing, in the forward areas, a wide player.
“Hopefully we could get one more in as well. It would strengthen the squad and I would then balance that up with boys going out.
“We’re obviously at the mercy of other clubs as well. We will look to move some players out and we’re probably top heavy in the forward areas.
“We’ve got Owen in and I believe he is a project similar to Toyosi Olusanya and we’ve all seen the way Toyosi progressed. We believe Owen will be the same.

Propper, who captained the side in the absence of James Tavernier, Jack Butland and Nico Raskin, is confident they have the ability in the squad to turn that form around going forward but has been left “frustrated” by recent results.
He said: “We need to finish off our chances and we need to create more chances, and the goals we concede are too easy so we need to find a solution for that as quickly as possible.
“It’s difficult to say (why Rangers keep dropping points away from home), we try really hard and everyone wants to take the three points in every game and be happy and cheering with the fans who are always there for us in many ways.
“It’s difficult to say what is happening. We can understand the fans’ frustrations, I am frustrated as well, everybody is frustrated because we all want to win and have the three points.
“We are much better than this, I know that for sure, so we need to find a solution.
“Everybody wants it (to find a solution) we are always talking to each other and trying the best we can, we need to find a solution at both ends of the pitch.

Celtic defender Auston Trusty has told fans that hearing their vocal tribute “means the world” to him.
Supporters chanted about a series of past favourites during Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat of Dundee United at Parkhead in reaction to comments from manager Brendan Rodgers.
But they still found time to serenade current players including Trusty and fellow United States international centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Supporters have reworked Estelle’s American Boy song to pay tribute to the defensive pairing and Trusty has lapped it up.
“It’s amazing,” the 26-year-old said. “To be far from home and not have family around… I remember I went to my first stop here in the UK, Birmingham City. In my first game I made a slide tackle and the fans started cheering ‘USA, USA’. It just made me feel right at home straight from the start and went from there.

Philippe Clement claimed the Rangers board are “200 per cent” behind him after Gers fans exploded in anger following the 1-1 draw against Dundee which left them 15 points behind Premiership leaders Celtic.
The Light Blue began the game with just three wins in 10 league fixtures away from Ibrox and they fell behind in the sixth minute to a finish from attacking midfielder Oluwaseun Adewumi.
Gers winger Vaclav Cerny levelled in the 34th minute but on a freezing night on Tayside the Light Blues could do no more and their supporters vented their anger at the final whistle.
