I'm taking on the Edinburgh Kiltwalk in September to raise funds for the charity I work for - Columba 1400

Through our values-based leadership academies we enable young people especially those from tough realities, and the key adults in their life, to lead lives of purpose, meaning and contribution.

I've seen the impact of our academies on the young people who take part, and I'm determined to give this opportunity to more young people in Scotland.

That's my first week of walking completed for Ovarian Cancer Action Walk in Her Name challenge.

I've done 28.6km so I'm well on target for the 100km. It's doing me a world of good to get out every day for a walk. The weather has been kind too - I've only got dripping wet once so that's good for Glasgow 😁

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of our brave, beautiful, gorgeous, courageous and inspirational mother (mum, Mutti), nana, sister, wife, cousin, aunt and friend, on Friday 9 February 2024.

She bravely fought cancer for the last six years and surpassed all expectations in her treatment to beat this awful disease.

We are going to miss her with all our hearts and are completely heartbroken.

Love you mum, you will always be in our hearts, thoughts and memories 💔💔💔🪽🪽###

Annika and I are swimming 250m and 1500m respectively in Loch Morlich on Saturday 16 September.

It's a personal challenge for both of us but we'd also love to raise some money for Macmillan.

Some of you may know my mum's been living with cancer for nearly six years. Sometimes it's really tough going for her but Macmillan have been amazing.

Loch Morlich holds a special place in my heart as it's one of my earliest memories of a sunny family holiday in Scotland 😁 So I'm excited to be going back there and taking Annika there for the first time.

Can't think of a better way to spend a stunning evening in Scotland. I'm so lucky to live within an hour of places like these.

We paddled for a couple of hours on Loch Ard and along the river. The water was as still as a millpond.

As the sun set, the bats came out and on our way home we saw the blue 🔵 and an owl fly past🦉

Kinda spoilt my serenity by watching two episodes of Manifest on my return but heyho 😝

Happy Mother's Day to my amazingly strong resilient mum. Two rounds of chemo done and about to start third. Still enjoying life and spending time with her five granddaughters. Love you mum ❤️🌺💪
