GROOVE CITY RADIO is an internet dance radio station based in the heart of Glasgow broadcasting from a brand new studio in the city's Kinning Park area. Now boasting an amazing number of 74 dj/presenters rotating throughout each month with live show’s with everything from Northern Soul right through to Underground Techno... The studio complex is also home to David Forbes production studio. Having worked next to David now for 2 years it has been a great opening for younger producers coming through the station to learn one on one with one of the countries longest serving producers with 25+ years under his belt... He’s always willing to pass on some of his knowledge to help bring on the younger generation of talent.. Also in the studio complex in studio 2 Scottish trance duo Smith & Brown who also provide a great help with with the radio as an in house production team.. As well as the live show’s we also have a great syndicate roster of some of the biggest names from round the globe with the likes of Defected, Toolroom, Sasha, Slam, Coyu, Above & Beyond, Paul Van Dky, Graeme Park, Glitterbox, Toddy Terry and many many more! Originally the station was set up broadcasting from a unique bar in Glasgow's Union Street located close to legendary Arches nightclub that was sadly closed down in 2015 Bar Groove, having close links with event's in the club also ceased trading and the station moved to a temporary location until it found the right location... The station has just recently applied to Ofcom for a community fm radio licence to take the station forward and bring a non commercial dance station to Glasgow and beyond serving the clubbing culture that Glasgow is famous for and providing a platform for young up and coming dj’s and producers. Within those plans we are planning to hand over running of the station during the day to college students interested in radio & the dj side of things...
