So here it is! "You Are Enough" by Elaj Studios which I filmed, edited and composed the music for. It was great working on this short film with these talented young prizewinners. 😁🎬

Here is something I worked on for Ostfriesland's tourist organisation. It was a fun shoot despite the cold and the wind... and the rain! Followed all Covid safety rules of course and made some new friends! :)

It's been quite a journey, I've met so many amazing people and it's been a privilege to share so many incredible stories and testimonies.

I've really loved working with Iain these past three years and it's still not quite sunk in that we don't have another painting-video to work on together!

Special thanks to Go For It and Scottish Bible Society for funding the project!

Excited to see what's next for me in 2020!

From 2016-2019 I was hired to create 24 short 10-15 minute films to go alongside 24 paintings by Glasgow artist Iain Campbell. Each painting was inspired by a different ...

So here we are, the very last video in the Gospel Sketchbook series! 😱πŸ₯³πŸ‘

In this video we hear from Judy and Iska Routamaa who talk about the time they spent in Papua New Guinea translating the Bible for a very secluded tribe in a remote region of the island.

This all ties in with ID Campbell - Artist's painting of them, as the disciples Jesus met on the road to Emmaus, in chapter 24, the last chapter, of the Gospel of Luke.

In this, the second last video of the Gospel Sketchbook series, ID Campbell - Artist talks about his painting of our cafe church service in St George's Tron Church of Scotland, representing the "Great Banquet" from chapter 14 in the gospel of Luke.

We hear from the minister Alastair Duncan and from several members/attendee's of the church about why we do church the way we do and what it means to them.

You may have seen this one in Sgt a while ago, uploading it slightly out of order with the painting launches!

In this Gospel Sketchbook video we focus on Glasgow Street Pastors - we hear from the coordinator Stuart Crawford who talks about the work that they do on the city streets at night and from Paula MacLeod who shares a bit of her story and talks about her experience as a street pastor.

This all ties in with ID Campbell - Artist's painting of Steven, a homeless man who comes in for a coffee regularly at The Wild Olive Tree, as Zaccheaus, both of whom can be said to be observing what's going on in the city but not fully included.

In this video we focus on Glasgow Street Pastors - we hear from the coordinator Stuart Crawford who talks about the work that they do on the city streets at ...

If you were in St George's Tron Church of Scotland not last Sunday but the Sunday before that then you would have seen this, the latest Gospel Sketchbook video where ID Campbell - Artist, inspired by chapter 15 of the gospel of Luke, paints Martin MacKenzie and David McAdam as the son and the father from the parable of the prodigal son.

We hear David read the famous passage and we hear from Martin about how his life has been transformed from his days in prison with the help of David and others. Martin also shares how this transformation has lead to a renewed relationship with his mother.

If you saw it at church the other day, worth watching again as I managed to get an interview with Martin and add that in since then!

In this next Gospel Sketchbook video Iain Campbell, inspired by chapter 15 of the gospel of Luke, paints Martin MacKenzie and David McAdam as the son and the...

If you were at St George's Tron Church of Scotland a couple of Sundays ago you would have seen this next Gospel Sketchbook video where ID Campbell - Artist, inspired by chapter 17 of the gospel of Luke, paints Sandy Macleod, a member of SGT.

We hear Sandy read the passage about Jesus healing the Ten Lepers and telling us the story of how his life has been transformed from his days in prison by the love and guidance of Jesus.
..Also massive congratulations to Sandy as he got married just last week!

In this, the latest video in the Gospel Sketchbook series, we hear ID Campbell - Artist talk about meeting Paula, the subject of this painting entitled "Waiting For Healing". Paula comes regularly to the The Wild Olive Tree cafe in St George's Tron Church of Scotland for free soup and a cup of tea. She specifically asked Iain if he wanted to paint her like this, and he thought she could represent the l***r who gets healed by Jesus in chapter 5 of the gospel of Luke.

In this video we mostly hear from Paula herself, who talks about her experience of living with cerebral palsy, diabetes and tunnel vision while also being very honest about her faith and her walk with God.

26/04/2019

This Sunday at St George's Tron Church of Scotland we'll be launching my painting for chapter 5 of the Gospel of Luke "Waiting for the Healing".

In this, the latest video in the Gospel Sketchbook series, we hear ID Campbell - Artist talk about the theme of the
Kingdom of God, which is the title of his painting of Gabrielle Cook, the cook at the The Wild Olive Tree cafe in St George's Tron Church of Scotland. Iain has painted her kneading bread to represent the woman in the parable of the yeast in chapter 13 of the gospel of Luke, in which Jesus compares yeast working through flour to the outworking of the Kingdom of God.

In this video we also hear from Gabrielle herself, who talks about her experience of working in the cafe and how that can also relate to the Kingdom of God.

In this, the latest video in the Gospel Sketchbook series, we hear ID Campbell - Artist talk about painting Bex, Sarah (and Samuel) Jack and the sibling dynamics he was trying to capture. The sisters work at The Wild Olive Tree cafe, and Iain thought who better to portray the sisters Mary and Martha, from Chapter 10 of the Gospel of Luke, than real life sisters!

In this video we also hear from Bex and Sarah themselves, who talk about their experience of working in the cafe and also what kinds of things distract them from listening to Jesus.

In this video, we see Iain Campbell paint Rebecca, Sarah and Samuel Jack as Mary Martha and Lazerus, based on chapter 10 in the gospel of Luke. The two siste...

In this, the next video in the Gospel Sketchbook series, ID Campbell - Artist tells the interesting story of how he came to paint Alec, a regular in the The Wild Olive Tree cafe who makes use of the gifted soup and coffee scheme, as "The Friend At Midnight" from the parable in Chapter 11 of the Gospel of Luke.

In this video we also hear from Mae Smith, who is part of the leadership team at St George's Tron Church of Scotland, who talks about her own experience exploring the meaning of the parable, which is persistence in prayer.

So here is the next video in the Gospel Sketchbook series! Inspired by chapter 3 of the Gospel of Luke, ID Campbell - Artist paints Alastair Duncan, the minister at St George's Tron Church of Scotland, as John the Baptist, sitting on a bench/ Sculpture BY Timothy Schmalz entitled "Homeless Jesus".

In this video Alastair speaks to Father Willie Slavin who played a crucial role in getting the sculpture installed behind the church. They reflect on city centre ministry, homelessness and, as in the title of the painting, John the Baptist.

So here is the next video in the Gospel Sketchbook series! You may have seen it if you were around yesterday in St George's Tron Church of Scotland where we do an official launch of the painting/video every so often.

In this video, inspired by Chapter 6 of the Gospel of Luke, ID Campbell - Artist paints Caspar, a busking homeless artist who sometimes works on the street outside the church.

We also hear from Chris Gordon, from Bethany Christian Trust, a trustee of The Wild Olive Tree cafe where Caspar regularly visits, who talks about Bethany's mission to end homelessness in Scotland, one person at a time.

So last weekend myself, Corinna Wiseman, Becca Robin Dunn, Gavin Hughes, Callum Macfarlane-Grieve, Noman Kenneth, (and featuring Stephen Watson's arm) made a wee film for the Glasgow 48 hour film project!
(also thanks to Iain Cameron and Euan Brand for letting us use their kit!)

The basic idea is that each team get a random genre on the Friday night and have to submit a finished film by the Sunday night. It was quite a challenge but I think we pulled it off πŸ˜„

Our genre was Film De Femme (a film featuring one or more strong female characters.) The character we all had to use was Jessie Cutler, Entrepreneur, The prop we had to use was a marble and we had to include the line "Is it supposed to be purple?"

So here it is, our entry as "Fopdoodle Productions" entitled - "Being Jessie"

Enjoy! 😁

So in this video we see ID Campbell - Artist, inspired by Chapter 18 - The Persistent Widow - in the Gospel of Luke, paint Lizzie and her young son Brodie, a woman who has had to struggle and persist to get her son back into her care. We also hear from Edith and Ian McEwan, who share their experiences, both good and bad, of being short term foster carers.

Here is the next video in the Gospel Sketchbook series where we see Dean Dunsmure, a young man who recently became a member of St George's Tron Church of Scotland, share his powerful testimony of how his life was transformed for the better by his faith in Jesus. Dean was painted alongside ML Stone by ID Campbell - Artist , inspired by Chapter 22 in the Gospel of Luke representing what it might look like for Jesus to be arrested in this day and age.

Here is the video that we showed the other day at St George's Tron Church of Scotland's Good Friday service! It accompanies ID Campbell - Artist's painting - "The Crucifixion".

In this video we see Iain Campbell, inspired by Chapter 23 in the Gospel of Luke, paint "H", an Iranian man who found his home in Glasgow. Iain talks about what it was like painting The Crucifixion for the fifth time and we hear from Mike Kurtyka, team member at The Upper Room church, where "H" goes to worship.
