What an incredible sunset to finish off our clients project 😍 As part of a Landscape Gardening project for Gavin Gray, we were lucky enough to get this perfect pink sky to finish off this project. The wee client was amazing, making cups of tea and some biscuits to fend off the cold while I captured some truly stunning drone shots. Honestly buzzing to have got such a sky to end the project, which also gives us some autumn night shots to conclude the edit with. Full project video coming shortly...

Squinty Pixels - Leisure Business Promo with CC Golf

It's not often that we will star in our own videos 😎 Seen as our Founder Jamie's driving game is like watching watching the world's angriest golfer trying his best to understand why his shots keep diverting to the moon - it's safe to say he was the perfect cast. So when Stuart at CC Golf got in touch looking for some promo footage it only made sense that Jamie, as a depressingly terrible golfer, played the staring role. From a video perspective, CC Golf is a gold mine. We got some nice sunset drone and gimbal shots that were akin to Miami Vice. The absolute topper of a shirt worn matched the scene with golden hues working brilliantly. We set about creating a mixed promo short showcasing their bays and range, colour graded to match, delivered in landscape and reel formats. Something short, punchy yet informative. We shot a range of scenes, from showcasing their golf lessons with the PGA Pro, to their bays, to their range of leading New and Used clubs. The place is tremendous and ideal for a quick virtual round, right in the heart of Glasgow. A perfect place for adults and kids alike, we wanted to bring that across in our messaging. When drones and boats are just made for each other 😍 We were invited along to the Freedom Boat Club Loch Lomond open day with Malcolm Cannon, Katie O'Brien and Mike Lally to witness the maiden voyage of the RAER Spirits new sponsored boat. Enjoying a particularly beautiful sunny day out on the water, we launched one of our drones in the air to film some incredible scenes of their boats out in the water. Life saving surgery for Emergency Vets Glasgow

❗ Warning - Graphic content on this one At Squinty Pixels we film and edit a lot of videos for all different types of business and organisations. There are of course a few projects that really stand out, this being one of them for me. The Scottish SPCA came to our client emergencyvetsglasgow with a young pup needing urgency emergency treatment. After talking to the founder, Chris, he explained the little Piper had a rare condition and needed a complex procedure to fix a Patent Ductus Arteriosus Ligation (?). Me as a video guy had absolutely no idea what this meant of course. But the reality was that it was a high risk procedure. It was a strange experience, watching the team at work, knowing what the outcome could be fatal. The EVG team were so incredibly focussed and it was humbling watching the work they do. Sitting in the background, watching these professionals labouring away trying to saves this dogs life. The surgery was a massive success and Piper made a full recovery and went on to be rehomed to look forward to living a normal life. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gaNpZS5k

What is the perfect job? For us, this certainly comes close. Looking to upgrade from TikTok videos filmed on your phone? Now, to be straight, filming content from your phone is fine. Infact, you could argue it's an absolute must. It makes perfect short form content as it's quick to produce and keeps your audience informed and engaged. For your 'big win' projects however, will TikTok videos really give the professional look you desire? Poor quality sound, shaky footage and a lack of depth just doesn't match to professional footage. For our client MCH Solutions Ltd, they opted to bring us in to showcase their redevelopment for Heritage Vets in Edinburgh. With Phase 1 already complete, Phase 2 explains the works required for the second fixing stage, with an overview of all the elements involved. We filmed two of their installation projects in Aberdeen and Glasgow, both of which took empty commercial premises and completely transformed them into client ready workshops.
