Talking with Jon & Matt Firman about Story Prism, an AI writing assistant! Story Prism
To be honest, I had reservations to chat about AI screenwriting software, but that's exactly why I wanted to chat with them. I couldn't be a hypocrite after using various forms of AI for my latest film.
I have always embraced new technology to make films in preproduction, production, post and marketing. Psycho S*x Dolls would not exist, without the AI art I used to pitch for the production funds. And my recent campaign.
These are all tools to help us bring our vision to life. I'll personally never write an AI script, not out of a principal thing, I just have too many script outlines than I have years left to live! I also like writing the old way.
However, I get what these guys are talking about. It's worth checking them out. There's a lot of value in what they are doing.
People rant and down new tech right away. When I first shot on the Canon 5D, which I learned about from Oklahoma Ward as he was getting ready to shoot with it. I got "advice" from others back then "Aww, you can't make a movie with that!
Me and Oak shot our films on these cams, and it was the norm to shoot on the 5D months later. We never started it of course, not taking the credit for that, but as soon as I see new tech, I'm not closing my mind to anything. I want to play with that s**t!
Anyway, people should keep their minds open with new tech and see where aspects of it could work for them.
