Super excited to announce that I’ve made it to the Regional Finals for Best Videographer in Scotland for the awards! 🎉

It’s been a a ridiculously busy week over at Rizzo Films HQ. I’m just back from an amazing filmmaking retreat in Ireland which I attended with , hosted by & . A super intensive week of learning from some amazing filmmakers including , , , and all the other amazing filmmakers on the course. I’ve came back with a spring in my step with all the things that I have learned and can’t wait to start putting it into practice. For now it’s back the editing suite with some more galleries being delivered real soon! 🤌🏻

Roll on November for the awards, and thank you again for all your support. It means the world!

Hey folks! 👋🏻

Since my last ‘about me’ post there’s been a whole lot happening so thought I’d send out a wee life update!

First of all, to my new followers, thanks for following me! I’m Danny, a cinematic wedding filmmaker currently based in Glasgow.
Married to my gorgeous wife Kirsty, and then the entourage of 3 little Rizzo’s - Frankie (4), Harry (2) and we now have a new addition, Brodie (9 weeks). It’s been all go since Brodie arrived, but he has slotted in nicely to Team Rizzo!

Whilst I live in Glasgow, you’ll often find me all over the country, and out of it, filming weddings and living out my dream! Im honestly so grateful each day for getting to call my hobby my ‘job’! A literal dream come true!

Thank you to all my past, present and future couples for choosing me to be part of the most amazing day of your lives!

When I’m not filming weddings I also run a successful podcast, , with my partner in crime and fellow videographer . Our goal with the podcast is to help encourage and up-skill fellow videographers, whilst talking about our journey and the lessons we’ve learned along the way. And we also get to chat to some awesome guests about their businesses. It’s epic!

For now though, it’s back into the editing seat after a very busy summer (whilst also welcoming a newborn into the family 😅🤣) to get all these beautiful galleries out to my amazing clients.

It’s been a hot minute since my last ‘here’s a little bit about me’ post… I feel like after getting a round of headshots done (by ) now’s probably a good time eh?! Here’s a wee fun shot of me with my Super 8 camera.🎥.

Hey, I’m Danny 👋🏻 . The guy behind the camera .films 📷. A little bit about me - Husband to Kirsty (coming up for 6 years this week) and Dad to 2 little Rizzo’s, Frankie (4) & Harry (2). We are also a little mental and have another little Rizzo on the way which we are beyond excited to meet very soon 👶.

My favourite colour is orange, hence the orange 🧡’s. I love to play a bit of squash and pool in my spare time. Although with running a business and having 2 kids and soon to be 3 you don’t always get a lot of down time! Kirsty and I are real foodies and if we get the chance you’ll find us in a nice restaurant with a glass of wine, well you most certainly would have 5+ years ago anyway! 😏

When I started Rizzo Films a little over 4 years ago I could never imagined that I’d be where I am now. I’ve had the absolute honour of capturing over 150 weddings (and counting), at home and abroad ✈️. Most recently I’ve started a podcast with my partner in crime to help inspire others to be a part of this amazing industry. 🧡

I create my films with YOU at the heart of everything. I want to give you a little time capsule that you’ll still be watching 30+ years from now, thinking “man look how good we look, look how happy we are”. My style is luxury & cinematic, with the story of you both woven throughout the film through the spoken word. I want to bring the emotion all rushing back, as if you’re right back in that moment again.

Hey folks! 👋🏻. I thought after a bunch of new followers it was time to introduce myself again… I’m Danny. Half Scottish, half Italian (although I can’t speak it 😬), husband to Kirsty and dad to our two little boys, Frankie (3) and Harry (1).

I’m all about the FUN! I love nothing more than meeting new people and having a good ol’ blether! Weddings just ooze fun and I’m here for it 🙌🏻.

I’ve always had a fascination with cameras, since I was a little boy. It all started out as a hobby that somehow has now turned into what I do for a living. I’m beyond lucky to call wedding filmmaking my full time job and I’ve been fortunate to pick up a few awards along the way! 🧡

If you watch my films you’ll understand pretty quickly that I’m all about raw authentic moments! I want you both to get caught up in the magic of the day whilst I go about capturing it. Then using the magic of editing I weave all the key audio points through the films to create that cinematic and personal feel. I am all for STORY! At the end of it all I want you to be able to sit down in 20 or 30 years and be transported back to that very moment when you said “I do”. It’s truly the beauty of film🧡.

2023 was an incredible year, taking me all over the county and out of it, from Glasgow to Amsterdam, Edinburgh to Orkney and Aberdeen to Oban, I was everywhere! 2024 is going to be just as epic, with a weddings in Cyprus 🇨🇾 and England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 along with all over Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ! I’m so excited!!

Some exciting news! I’ve made it to the regional finals for Best Videographer of the Year at The Wedding Industry Awards ! 🎉🧡

Thank you to each and every one of my couples that cast their vote, it honestly means so much 🧡🧡.

I cannot wait for the finals, and can’t wait to meet up with some pals in the North West! There’s so many epic filmmakers in the region so it won’t be easy! But win or lose it’s just amazing to have made it this far!

Another exciting thing though - as last year’s winner of the Best Newcomer of the Year I’m also a judge for the very same category. Having a quick look through the candidates it’s going to be a tough one to call! 😮‍💨

Hey folks! 👋

It’s been a while since I posted a bit about me, plus with a whole load of new followers (now past 2k 🤯) I thought now is a better time than any!

I’m Danny Rizzo (cue the Grease chat 😜) the owner and lead filmmaker behind Rizzo Films. I live in Glasgow with my beautiful wife Kirsty and our two little Rizzos. Frankie, who will be 3 next week (thats a sentence that came round fast 🥺) and our little chunk Harry who will be 1 in just over a month. We also have a little furry sidekick, Sofia the Ragdoll cat. She’s an older girl now but still feisty!

So you’ve maybe stumbled across this page because you’re looking for a wedding film but with so many to choose from how do you pick someone? I could write screeds and screeds about how filmmaking is my passion & how I played with cameras since I was young but I’ll cut it short. The crux of it is, I love what I do. I’m genuinely buzzing with excitement at any wedding I’m at, or when I’m putting together the final touches of a wedding film. I don’t think I could do anything else, I’m perhaps a little too addicted to the endorphins that come with being part of a wedding day 🤩. All that passion and love goes straight into delivering that final gallery of your films.🧡

Orkney.

Roo & Ollie’s stunning elopement on the island was nothing short of magical. Orkney, known for its high winds and famous downpours, looked completely different yesterday. The wind settled, the sun was shining and the rain stayed at bay. , , Scottish wedding photographer] and I covered 100 miles of the Orkney islands yesterday in search of locations for their epic elopement. 100 miles was nothing in comparison to the 10,000 + miles they had travelled from Australia to get here. Let me tell you, it was worth the trip.

Can’t wait to share this with you all soon. Scottish wedding photographer] photos are going to be epic, what a team we made yesterday. If you’re looking for an outstanding photographer then look no further!

What a night at the Confetti Awards last night! Rizzo Films took runner up at the awards for Best Videographer in Scotland. Absolutely blown away. Thank you to all people that cast their vote, I’m so grateful! 🧡

Such a great night getting to spend time with fellow suppliers. Well done to all the Highly Recommended and Winners. You all smashed it!

I’m beyond excited to be taking part in the How to Film Weddings Mastermind programme for 2023!

What is Mastermind I hear you say? It’s a year long programme/training where I’ll have access to some of the best wedding filmmakers in the world. Investing in myself, and ultimately my couples and their films,
is so important to me. Education and learning from some of the wedding industry elite is going to be massive in making the films I produce even better! If you aren’t learning, you aren’t growing!

Very excited for 2023, it’s going to be huge for Rizzo Films. Thanks for following along on the journey!

Well what a start to the week! Rizzo Films has won the Hitched Wedding Awards 2023 for Videography! 🏆🎉

All a little surreal given that tomorrow Rizzo Films is also up for a National award at The Wedding Industry Awards. Then on Monday for Best Videographer in Scotland at The Confetti Awards. How the hell is anyone meant to sleep for the next few days?! 😅

I thought it would also be a good time to introduce myself to the many new followers recently. Hi 👋, I’m Danny! Husband to Kirsty and dad to two little Rizzo’s Frankie (age 2) & Harry (7 months).

I’m very lucky to call wedding filmmaking my full time job. Bit of a dream come true as in all honesty there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing. I get to hang out with couples on the best day of their lives. Then I get to create a time-capsule that they can keep for the rest of their lives! Pretty special! 🧡
