STORM ISHA: Tens of thousands of people are without power after Storm Isha ripped through the UK. The highest recorded wind speed was 99mph in Northumberland. Agricultural expert Bruce Jobson says despite the damage caused, people in rural Northumberland are relieved the storm didn't hit as hard as Storm Arwen in 2021 - a storm some are still recovering from.

The weather has meant we couldn’t go out today so we opened a candle making set my husband got me for Christmas. The process is much simpler than I was expecting and we really enjoyed mixing the colours and scents. I also added some petals from a bouquet my in laws gave me and some crystals my parents dropped off earlier today - just so they feel extra special. Really fun! #candlemaking #crafting #diycrafts

Santa on a fire engine? I’m in!
These are the Christmas memories Archie will hold dear, not the gifts. I’m sure of that too because he just asked Santa if he’s definitely remembered to get him bath bombs 😂😇 little angel! I’ve said it before but it’s worth repeating… our emergency services work tirelessly and they aren’t thanked enough for the absolute graft they put in to keep up safe. On top of this, they’re spending their spare time driving Santa around County Durham to see the kids in all the villages. My heart is full and my son’s joyous little face will forever be in my mind!!
