"I've just returned home from the latest EHS competition which was held in San Vittore, Switzerland.

This is a club which I hold dear to my heart. Set in a valley, the mountains are very striking and certainly offer a unique challenge as a back-drop. The club has a real family atmosphere with everyone joining in to help run the weekend and made us all feel very welcome and part of that family.

Despite the weather forecast, we had a very productive training session on the Friday, followed by 3 rounds which we just about managed to complete in between showers on the Saturday. Unfortunately, Sundays prediction of rain came true which meant we didn't get to fly the finals. But that didn't matter one bit. We had a fantastic weekend, catching up with friends, competing against the best pilots in the World.

What are the chances of being in Switzerland, in a tent eating dinner the night England played Switzerland in the European Championships? Whilst not a big football follower, it did make for an interesting night.

Back to the flying. The level of flying was spectacular from everyone. I unfortunately got caught in rain showers mid-way through my second and third round flights, but I battled on and got some really good, consistent scores which left me in 10th place. Given the company I was in. I was thrilled with the result and I was able to take some things away to work on before the European Championships next month."

Taking just a bit of extra care can make a huge difference in safeguarding the longevity of your LiPo batteries! Here's some top tips to help prolong the life of your packs! ⚡

🔋 Balance Charging: Keep your LiPo batteries balanced during charging to maintain uniform cell voltage. It's the secret to longevity!

📦 Storage Mode: When storing your LiPos, use storage mode at about 3.8V per cell. This prevents over-discharging and keeps them ready for action.

🌡️ Temperature Care: Extreme temperatures are a no-no. Keep your LiPos in a cool, dry place to avoid stress and prolong their life.

🚫 Over-Discharge Protection: Never run your LiPo batteries to below 3V per cell. Monitor voltage and stop before it gets too low.

🔌 Disconnect During Storage: When not in use, disconnect your LiPo batteries from your RC. Even idle, they can slowly discharge if left connected.
