An improved bus service for Fishburn, but it needs your feedback. The more feedback there is, the better chance we have of the bus service returning to Fishburn.

Proposed changes to Service X12 in the Sedgefield/Fishburn Area.

We are proposing to make changes to the X12 that subject to feedback may come into effect from October this year.

Thank you to Lizzie for these photos of the lights on the village green. They have been tested over the weekend, in preparation for the D-Day anniversary. They seem to be working well and do look good 😀

You seen it here first last week that this was approved. They have also now applied for an Alcohol License to sell alcohol for the full duration of their opening times.

A former village pub will be converted into a new shop despite a strong campaign against the plans.

BYE BYE Beehive..... The planning application has been APPROVED which gives permission for a new Premier Convenience Store.

3 members of the public turned up to object and were supported by 4 councillors at the vote.

People are bound to be wondering......

There'll be some changes to bin collections over Christmas and New Year. 🎅♻️ Collections will take place as normal up to and including Friday 22 December.

From Tuesday 26 December to Friday 29 December, collections will take place one day later than normal, starting from Wednesday 27 December to Saturday 30 December. Normal collections will resume from Tuesday 2 January.

Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) across the county will be open as normal over the festive period, except for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Following community information, a magistrates search warrant was carried out at Prudhoe Avenue, Fishburn. Located inside the house was approximately 50 mature and a number of young cannabis plants. A male was arrested, charged and is to appear before magistrates on 27/10/23.

Please continue to provide intelligence as we will act upon this and have further good outcomes like this.
