Whether onshore, offshore, or marine-based, BOG management is critical for safe and reliable LNG operations. As cryogenic liquid stored in tanks boils off due to external heat ingress, pressure build up becomes a concern.

That is where Atlas Copco steps in! With decades of experience in BOG handling, they are at the forefront of technological advancements. Their high-pressure BOG compressors are engineered to perfection, seamlessly blending cryogenic expertise with high-pressure fuel-gas boosting. This ensures peak performance and substantial cost savings for LNG plants worldwide.

Here’s a sneak peek at the cover story from our latest October issue of LNG Industry for the .

In an article from AVEVA, Craig Harclerode explores how the use of digital technologies can accelerate the integration of and transition towards renewables, natural gas/LNG, and hydrogen energy systems.

The natural gas and LNG supply chain, which encompasses LNG liquefaction, transportation across oceanic boundaries, and subsequent regasification for integration into existing natural gas transmission and storage operators (TSOs), is becoming increasingly complex. The incorporation of hydrogen, carbon dioxide (CO2), and renewable energy into the natural gas systems that include both pipeline gas and LNG regasification with both inter and intra country networks with line pack and molecular level management necessitates the effective deployment of digital technologies.

It's Tuesday again, which can mean only one thing: it's time for another post from LNG Industry!

🇳🇴 This Tuesday, we’re travelling to Norway to take a look at the latest LNG developments. 🇳🇴

In the north, Gasum has opened a biogas filling station west of Oslo, significantly expanding its biogas infrastructure in Norway. The biogas filling station, built in co-operation with landowner Eiendomsspar, offers compressed and liquefied biogas in response to an increased demand for sustainable fuels in Norway.

The Skui station is Gasum's seventh bio-LNG filling station in Norway and the 50th bio-LNG filling station in the Nordic countries. The station is strategically located west of Oslo along the E16 highway, serving logistics companies in the region and facilitating long-haul traffic between Oslo and the west coast of Norway. Gasum plans to construct more filling stations during 2025 between Oslo and Bergen to enable fossil free transport solutions between Oslo and Bergen.

Gasum has collaborated with landowner Eiendomsspar and logistics company Gunnar Knutsen to open the station. Gunnar Knutsen has been testing the filling station since August. The filling station is now open to all users.
