A record 23.7 million drivers are expected to hit the roads today, prompting the AA to issue several amber traffic warnings ahead of the Christmas getaway. They predict Friday 20th to be the busiest day on the roads over the Christmas Period.

I am really sorry to have to write this post but we have now unfortunately got to this stage. We are struggling and with the budget upping our business rates etc, this is only set to get worse. I am not ready to throw in the towel because I still truly believe that what we offer is a vital part of helping our environment, supporting many small local businesses and keeping our staff afloat. We also support lots of local charity events but now we could do with your support in return and we know how awesome you all are.

The great thing is, that it really wouldn't take much for us to get back into a position where we can continue. If you are a regular, is there just one more item you could buy from us instead of else where? If you were a regular but fell out of habit of visiting, is it time to come back? If you haven't ever been in, why not?! What would persuade you in?

If you are unable to pop in, you can still help by sharing, reacting to or commenting on our posts (although apparently you have to love, laugh or be angry at us and not like!).

Youth homeless charity Step by Step is inviting you to give up the comfort of your bed and sleep out for the night, in support of local young people facing homelessness.

Sleep Out 2024 takes place on Friday 11th October at Farnborough Business Park.

There will be live music, a barbecue and inspiring stories, but when the lights go out, participants will be sleeping out with no shelter.
