here's some thoughts on the album (his 3rd) by Kiran:

"These pieces were written starting around the beginning of covid when my dad showed me a video of Fatou Seidi Ghali playing a hypnotizing song with fingerstyle guitar. I loved the sound and spent many months of mostly solitude trying to learn the techniques by ear and youtube videos. The songs flowed out of that learning, and I was fortunate to meet fellow musicians that could bring the music to life and to add their own flavors into it. Some of my influences include Horse Lords, Group Doeh, Mahmoud Ghania, Al Balabil and Hailu Mergia."
