Well it was a good run!

Shire Knights have decided to call it a day as a competitive 40k team. We still have plenty of our (now former) team playing at events, with players moving on to regular WTC events with Team Scotland, playing at GT's and playing other games as well. Most will start to play at singles events representing Forth Valley Wargamers, our base club since we started. Some will play at events representing other local clubs to them.

Thanks to all our opponents in games, the TO's that organised tournaments and to those that joined up, for the good times and epic games.

We've all made some fantastic friends throughout our time as Shire Knights and made some great memories.

40k seems to be in an odd place right now....WTC, individual tournaments, lots of codex but also lots still in index......a strange feeling of something impending...... something green......

Well would you look at that! Who would have thought that only a couple of years ago The Shire Knights was a 4 man band of bro's that liked to roll some dice 🎲, none in Team Scotland, and now we have 6 out of a very strong 10 man squad in Team Scotland 👏.

A huge congratulations to all of the 2023/2024 National WTC Team the rest of the Knights are cheering you on!

Growing a 40k playing group is a challenge... but it's worth it!

Wonder if we can get someone or more than 1...to the Singles World Championship in 2024???

Well isn't this a pretty picture! Congrats to all the Shire Knights after a great season, 6 of the top 10 in the Team Scotland rankings being Shire Knights!

Rybo took 2nd (fantastic!), Conar 6th, Nick 7th, Mark 8th, Allan 9th and Ryan 10th.

Well done to everyone else in the rankings, great to see so many in the competitive scene!

A fantastic weekend away with Team Scotland Warhammer 40k to Battle of Britain 2023!

Each nation (Scotland, Wales, England and NI) could bring 3 teams (15 players) to the event which was held in Nottingham this year. Shire Knights Rybo, Nick, Mark, Allan, Conar and Matty all attended and were mixed into 3 Scotland teams.

Playing amongst some of the top players in the UK, one of the Scottish teams with Allan and being led by Matty as non-playing coach managed to get a podium 3rd place! England taking the top 2 spots.

Shire Knight Mark also won most sporting player! Rounding off a haul of trophies to take back up to Scotland!

Next week we will have a dedicated podcast all about the event! Released on Wednesday at 5pm as always!

What a great weekend! 7 Shire Knights attended London Grand Tournament among the 760 players in attendance, and we had some great results. Rybo going 4 - 1, brilliantly winning best Tyranids player🥇, Mark getting his best London placing on a great 4 - 1 aswell 💪, Allan being the terror of the Aeldari and drawing 98 - 98 in one of his other game going 3 - 1 - 1, Conar going 3 - 2 overall, but on the way getting to challenge one of the best players in the world (and finalist) after storming into day 2 on 3 wins and Ryan taking a new faction in Grey Knights picking up 2 solid wins. Connor and Mike both picked up a win and played hard all weekend. Well done to all the lads!

The London Grand Tournament was run really well, its getting bigger every year. Noticeably there were a large number of teams in attendance, and players from across the globe 🌍. Competitive 40k is growing rapidly...Shire Knights are at the heart of that in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
