Day two of our Charity Challenge Week saw Drivetimes Greg Hill facing two challenges- in the morning it was all about waxing and during Drivetime it was the headshave. We also welcomed Rod and Bob from ITV News West Country who came to report on our DAB launch, and captured some of the charity challenge week for CEDA whilst they were with us.

Greg Hill has almost completed his second charity challenge for CEDA - this morning he successfully had his arms and legs waxed live on air- and this afternoon he is having his head shaved.

Today was a special day for Access All Aerials as we launched on DAB+ across Exeter. We welcomed Exeter MP Steve Race for Exeter Steve Race to the studio who officially marked the occasion and joined in with our weekly quizzical show.

Getting the station on DAB across on Exeter is a huge achievement for everyone involved in the station and is only possible thanks to the commitment of CEDA, the charity behind the station, funding from The National Lottery Community Fund and Exe DAB who provide the space for us to broadcast. Nothing else changes, you can still listen in online, via your smart speaker and on the Access All Aerials App.

There are lots of exciting radio programmes and opportunities for disabled people across Devon still to come so make sure you’re tuned in and listening to Access All Aerials from CEDA.

Ooo don’t we look fancy here… yes Friday 1st November is the official date for Access All Aerials to launch on DAB+ across Exeter. This morning we launched registration for the 2024 Charity Challenge Week taking place 4-8th November. Everyone is encouraged to challenge themselves… something little or big, have some fun and raise funds for CEDA the charity behind Access All Aerials.
The Mid Morning team also talked about the CEDA Tandem Challenge (more info coming soon) 😉 and it’s safe to say Craig and Helen might need a bit more practice 🤣

Craig didn’t complete Dione’s Challenge on the radio this morning and his forfeit was 50 squats for Supporting SNUG as part of the #SquatforSNUG campaign. Still work to go on that technique Craig we’re afraid to say.

We can now officially announce that Access All Aerials has received three year funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to support CEDA to grow the radio station and provide even more opportunities for disabled people to be heard on the airwaves. We have so many BIG plans and cannot wait to share them with you in the New Year. In the meantime we will continue Breaking Broadcasting Boundaries and have a great seasonal line up to announce soon.
