Please see attached, below.
Why the f*** would I be interested in the “orchestralisation” of popular music that wasn’t orchestral in the first place? It was probably perfectly palatable in its original form thank you very much, which is why I – and others - like/d it (although below is a poor and rather ironic example as I think The Quireboys were/ are s**t).
Def Leppard (FFS), Pete Tong, Northern Soul, the f*****g Quireboys …even Grime!! – they’re all at it. Bloody “Parentisation”; trying to neuter music to make it more acceptable to a bourgeois demographic (pots of cash), a complacent older demographic (pots of cash), and even somehow validate it in the eyes of serious/curious music fans (less cash, but there’s a theme here - even though “cash” itself means Freedom and thus is being phased out by the Surveillance Society under the guise of convenience).
Lavish arrangements that cheapen the music…Irony is a child of the (un)Enlightenment.
I exempt music that was orchestral in the first place. Really wish I’d seen Ennio Morricone and Scott Walker.
Sorry – work’s quiet at the moment and I haven’t lost it. It’s all just in the name of content. If you enjoy pop reincarnation, fair enough!

PS: Don’t get me started on “trailerisation” – usually in adverts - where a formerly decent/ brilliant song is nauseatingly stripped/ slowed down with the idea that this somehow adds a lot more meaning to it. They can f**k right off.
