Polish death metal legends, Decapitated, will headline Damnation’s Night of Salvation event with a world exclusive performance of The Negation.

The unique set, which will be hosted at BEC Arena, Manchester, on Friday, November 1, will mark the 20th anniversary of the album. They will then close the stage with a selection of “classic hits” spanning their back catalogue.

While US hardcore icons, Sick Of It All, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their masterpiece, Scratch The Surface, with a UK exclusive album set.

Not to be outdone on the Lou's Brews Main Stage, Austrian party thrashers, Insanity Alert have concocted a one-off setlist compromising of S.O.D. covers from Speak English Or Die and their own Moshemian Thrashody EP, with takes on George Michael, Iron Maiden, Queen and Guns N Roses anthems.

Decapitated’s Vogg said: "I'm thrilled to announce that we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of our third album with a special performance at the Damnation's Night of Salvation.

“We'll be playing the entire album along with other classic hits. This record holds a special place in my heart, and the memories associated with it are both dark and wonderful. Join us for this magical night!”

Insanity Alert added: “Everybody ready for a Moshemian Thrashody? We’ll take you on a super weird and hard-slammin‘ voyage.

“Speak English or Die, Bruce! Welcome to the moshpit, Freddy! Are you p***y whipped, Axl? George, did you kill yourself? Ah f**k it, crossover and go!”

On the black metal focussed Cult Never Dies Stage, MIZMOR, Fen and Underdark are the first stunning trio to be announced.

And on the new Pelagic Records Stage is a selection of some of the label’s most exciting talent, including LLNN , HIPPOTRAKTOR and Sugar Horse.

Crushingly heavy Danish outfit LLNN said: “We're looking forward to hitting you with some Unmaker prime cuts, some older songs, and also unveiling new material... you won't have seen us play this set before."

Organiser Gavin McInally said: “Legendary death metal, a historic slice of hardcore and a party thrash set you couldn’t make up if you tried. Our main stage is off to an incredible start and we’ve got more to follow.

“We’ve been promising black metal fans something special and Mizmor fits the bill with a show on his first visit to the UK, while Fen and Underdark are two of the most popular homegrown black metal acts we have.

“When Pelagic Records came on board as a partner for our third stage, it was a success before the first band was picked as they just don’t miss.

"That said the combination of LLNN, Hippotrakor and Sugar Horse is a fine example of the diverse talent on the label’s roster.”

For existing ticket Damnation ticket holders, Night of Salvation tickets are £60 and can be secured on the £12 instalment plan.

For those not attending Damnation, Night of Salvation tickets are £80.

You’ll be asked to present your tickets on entry and those with reduced price tickets will be asked to show their Damnation ticket at the same time, to receive a weekend access wristband.

Do NOT buy a reduced price ticket if you do not have a Damnation ticket.

Another Damned good line-up…

UK old school death metallers MEMORIAM, US sludge outfit BLACK TUSK and French stoner rockers HANGMAN'S CHAIR join a stacked Damnation line-up.

The trio of new additions will play at BEC Arena, Manchester, on Saturday, November 2, alongside previously announced headliners Cradle of Filth, a world exclusive Dragged Into Sunlight set and European exclusives by Nails and Bleeding Through, among many others.

Organiser Gavin McInally said: "Memoriam were a hugely popular second stage headliner in our final year at Leeds and it will be amazing to see their old school death metal unleashed in an arena this winter.

"While Black Tusk and Hangman's Chair vastly increase the riff count with their takes on sludge and heavy rock.

"Three more fantastic additions to what is trending to be our busiest Damnation ever."

Tickets available now.

*News on Night of Salvation coming Thursday. Apologies for the further delay.

Rock, rhythm n blues to hit Linton Festival with a bang!
We’re talking Linton…..Linton Festival! Where a quintessential country village and award-winning pub will play hosts to Herefordshire’s favourite music, real ale and cider event on 5th – 7th July 2024.
Set in the grounds of The Alma Inn, who, once again have won CAMRA’s Herefordshire Pub of the Year, this year’s festival is back with a crash, bang and wallop showcasing some of the biggest acts today in rock, rhythm ‘n’ blues. With something for everyone, the line-up features an exceptionally high-quality array of 14 artists, not to mention around 40 real ales and ciders and delicious locally sourced edible treats waiting to be washed down!
It's not just the music and the beer that makes Linton Festival so special. Did you know it is entirely volunteer run? Its sole purpose is to raise money for local charities and those who have benefited most recently include HELP Appeal, Parkinsons UK, Alzheimers Research UK and Herefordshire Mind, to name just a few. Over the years, organisations like these have received a grand total of nearly £150,000 from proceeds donated from the event.
Dave Lambert, Linton Festival chair: “We’ve got some huge names coming to Linton this year and our festival goers are in for a real ride! If you’re not here for the weekend, you’re missing out. As many know, we run this festival to provide people with great music and beer but our ultimate goal, in between all the fun, is to raise money for charity. Last year the Committee were proud to donate £10,000 to our nominated organisations. When you come to Linton Festival you help us to continue supporting organisations who so vitally need our help.”

The headliners need little introduction, beginning with Talon on Friday night. Rising from their humble beginnings, Talon has become the most successful touring Eagles tribute act. Revered by their peers and loved by their fans, this world class seven-piece band are a phenomenon and they’ll be bringing the timeless Eagles back catalogue with them to Linton.
Saturday welcomes Band of Friends celebrating the music of the late, great guitarist Rory Gallagher! This is not a tribute to Rory, more of a celebration of his life and music which covered all parts of the globe and produced some of the greatest rock and blues albums of the 60’s, 70’s and the 80’s.

The roof will really explode when our final headliner hits the stage on Sunday evening…..Ruby Turner! Soul, gospel and R&B, her career has included success as a solo artist and touring alongside Jools Holland. Maybe you’ve seen her at London’s Ronnie Scott’s or perhaps you remember her days in the 80’s Culture Club. Ruby’s voice is out of this world and she’ll be wrapping the festival up with an almighty showdown!

Festival goers can really embrace the festival vibe with full camping facilities available all weekend within a short walking distance of the festival site. There’s hot showers, free parking and hot home-cooked breakfasts made to order tol set you up for the day head.
Owing to popular demand, this year there are more plots available than before, but don’t hang around…space sells out fast.
A weekend pass costs £115 (camping from £17) and day tickets are available for £29.
