🌹Droitwich and Evesham Labour on the Battle bus!

What a pleasure it was to join Lucy Powell, Shadow Leader of the House of Commons, onboard Labour’s battle bus, and to meet some outstanding West Midlands Labour candidates, Kashif Haroon (West Worcestershire), Chris Bloore (Redditch) and Seyi Agboola (Stratford-upon-Avon).

Droitwich and Evesham suffer the same Tory failures as our neighbouring constituencies and those across the country; NHS services are under pressure, working families are struggling with the cost-of-living and people are desperate to feel safe and secure on our streets.

It’s time to bring an end to Tory failure.

☀️ Summer Art Weeks 2023 ☀️

Our Summer Art Weeks event will run from the 17th of June to the 2nd of July and it is set to be a bumper year with over 400 artists taking part!

From paintings and sculptures to photography and mixed media, weaving, ceramics and more, there is going to be a huge range of art to see. Plus, you'll get to meet our amazing artists and learn more about their inspiration and creative processes.

Most artists will have work available to buy if you're interested in taking home a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork.

July 1st/2nd/3rd will be our last long weekend exhibiting as part of Warwickshire Open Studios - so there is still time to come and pay us a visit.

Over the last 2 weekends we've met plenty of art lovers who have come to see the work of the 7 artists exhibiting here. As a reminder we have photography, ceramics, glass/enamel, textiles, painting, illustration and digital media on display and there is an opportunity to meet the artists and watch live demonstrations.

The event is free, we have ample parking and full disabled facilities and access. Also we have refreshments with fabulous home-baked cakes. All our refreshments donations will, again, be donated to the Garage Art Group in Evesham.

This year we also have cards for sale created by a local Ukrainian refugee family - with all proceeds going to the Ukrainian cause.

We are 5 or 6 minutes outside Evesham - and there are 5 other local studios taking part that can all be reached within a short walk or drive - in Offenham, Honeybourne, Marlcliff, & Bidford.

As a reminder we are open from 11am to 4pm Friday, Saturday, & Sunday (1st, 2nd, & 3rd July)

As part of our exhibition we have a small space dedicated to supporting Ukraine. We're selling cards made by a local Ukrainian children with all proceeds going to support Ukraine.

Set in 3 acres of quiet garden on the edge of the Cotswolds. Once part of the Vale of Evesham's market gardening hub the 1960s buildings have been sensitively converted into studio and training facilities.

All of the donations for refreshments and cake sold at our Warwickshire Open Studios exhibition this year were in support of the Garage Art Group in Evesham. Thanks to the donations from all our visitors and the irresistible cakes made by our super talented neighbour Jackie Cutter we raised £87.40. Below is a pic of Bridget handing this over to the Garage Art Group at their recent 30th anniversary celebration in Abbey Park.

This Fri/Sat/Sun is the last opportunity to visit our exhibition as part of Warwickshire Open Studios. We're open from 11:00 to 16:00 each day (2nd July - 4th July). Come and see the work of local artists covering painting, photography, textiles, illustration and digital art. We are just off Bennetts Hill in Offenham - we have ample parking and full disabled facilities. We offer refreshments and homemade cakes. The perfect opportunity to spend a relaxed hour meeting local artists and seeing some amazing work.

Bridget (Bridget Steel-Jessop Textile Art) just complete the move into her new studio yesterday! Just in time to welcome everyone to Open Studios. For the past couple of years Bridget has been crammed into a much smaller room. Now she has lots of space, air conditioning, and a great view. It is so cool in the new studio that even Maya (the "studio dog") loves it!

The brochure is launched! Includes full details of all 320 artists that will be exhibiting. We can be found right near the back with the other Vale and West Stratford artists.

We are very excited to announce that our e-brochure is now live!

This year we have decided not to print a physical brochure, but we know how much people enjoy browsing through, so we have replaced it with an e-brochure which can be downloaded or you can browse online.

There are hyperlinks on each artists name so that you can quickly access their online galleries to see more of their work, and you can also find details of the art trails around Coventry and Warwickshire organised by the artists.

So grab a cuppa and start having a look through to see which artists you're going to visit this year, there are 320 to choose from!

This year marks 21 years of Warwickshire Open Studios, and we are delighted to be celebrating with our Summer Art Weeks event which kicks off on the 19th June.

Across Coventry and Warwickshire there will be 320 artists exhibiting at 117 venues.
