Extra_Ordinary New Restaurant to Open in Glasgow Finnieston

A new pan-Asian powerhouse that seamlessly blends Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisines will open this month in Glasgow Finnieston.

will be a lively, all-day restaurant with a contemporary Asian aesthetic, influenced by cities like Tokyo, Seoul and Hong Kong.

The intimate casual dining restaurant, spearheaded by Australian chef Tobias Fiegel, will offer an extraordinary mix of traditional Asian ingredients, with many components crafted from scratch and redefined through innovative recipes.

Offering thoughtfully prepared North East Asian elements, the menu promises a smooth service, letting you indulge in delectable dishes such as Kohlrabi Kimchi, Udon with XO mussels, Char Siu Chinese pancake, and Yuzu-Kosho tomato sashimi without delay.

Tobias, an Australian-Italian who grew up in Sydney, will open his first restaurant venture in Glasgow having crafted his trade in some of Sydney’s most recognised spots ; Sean’s Panorama; Black Star Pastry, and Edition Coffee Roasters. It was at the uber cool cafe Edition that he first discovered his passion for Japanese food through Japanese-Nordic fusion.

Duck & Waffle Edinburgh Celebrates Burns Night 🥃 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

will celebrate Burns Night on Saturday January 25th in honour of famed Scottish poet Robert Burns, with a chef-curated set menu for under £30 and elevated whisky cocktails that pay homage to Scotland’s rich cultural heritage.

The affordable three course set menu captures the essence of Scottish flavours. For starters guests can enjoy TRUFFLED DEVILED DUCK EGGS ; SCOTTISH SALMON CRUDO - pickled fennel, pink peppercorns, pomegranate, yuzu, lemon, olive oil or HAGGIS CROQUETTES with brown sauce. Main courses include HAGGIS, NEEPS & TATTIES with whisky sauce; HERB CRUSTED SCOTTISH COD - steamed potatoes, Champagne beurre blanc, trout roe, sea herbs or WILD MUSHROOM RISOTTO - crispy sage, Scottish cheddar. For dessert, CRANACHAN - raspberries, toasted oats, cream, whisky or LEMON POSSET and cardamom shortbread. The three course set menu is priced at an affordable £29.50 per person and available all day from 11.30am - 9pm sittings on Saturday January 25th.

In true Burns Night style, a series of elevated whisky cocktails accompanies the main event in the stunning bar area at Duck & Waffle Edinburgh throughout the day’s celebrations.
