Ceilidhkids is all about fun Scottish dancing for the whole family. Mum, Dad or grandparents can partner even the smallest people to enjoy simple (often simplified) Scottish dances. One adult can partner two children, or older children can dance together. Skip, clap and march along to traditional Scottish music, celebrating your favourite ceilidh dances in a way everyone can enjoy. We run family parties and fundraisers, visit schools, nurseries and youth groups, and can work with you to provide bespoke ceilidhs for those with additional support needs.

🤩Doodles Ceramics Workshop now has a separate party room that can be booked for a range of ages or events. The best age for a pottery painting party is 8+ with a maximum of 14 kids, but family visits for younger children work well if the group size is smaller. The party packages are £15 or £18 per head for 1.5hrs, with a wide selection of pottery items to choose from that are fun and functional - bowls, mugs, plates, figurines, plaques etc. It’s the perfect venue for a unique and crafty party.

It's Christmas Eve at Edinburgh and young Jim Hawkins works at North Edinburgh's finest accommodation for reformed pirates and past-it privateers.

Talk of cutlasses, ships and gold can be dangerous in such company. It's not long before the story of their greatest voyage takes over... Jim, Ben Gunn and Lean Jean Silver are soon reliving their time hunting for treasure on the Hispaniola. Ahoy!

Sea shanties, adventures and heartfelt fun enliven Jim's adventure as Billy Bones' treasure map leads him north to the isles of Orkney in search of Captain Flint's hidden fortune. Encountering plenty of puffins and buckets of swashbuckling, Jim tries to beat the pirates to the gold and get back home to Edinburgh safe and sound. Remember, X marks the spot... Or does it?

This playful new adaptation by Orkney playwright Duncan McLean is directed by Lyceum favourite Wils Wilson, with songs from Tim Dalling. Adventure awaits!
