Scottish Comedian Janey Godley Dies Aged 63

Janey Godley, the much-loved Scottish comedian, has passed away. Her daughter shared the sad news on Janey’s social media accounts, saying:

“Earlier this morning Janey passed away in her sleep. Her family were with her.
The love and support from all her friends and fans during this cancer journey brought her enormous joy. It has also been a huge comfort to us, her family and close friends, thank you. We will take time now to comfort one another and wish to thank everyone for respecting our privacy at this time. Remember her in your laughter, she would have liked that.”

Six-time Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy has announced that his cancer is terminal.

In an interview with the Sunday Times, he says doctors have told him he has between two and four years to live.

The 48-year-old Scot revealed earlier this year that he had been diagnosed with cancer.

Helen Wogan, the wife of late TV veteran Terry Wogan, has died after a “fantastic life”, her son has announced.
Mark Wogan said he hoped his mother and father, who died from cancer in January 2016 at the age of 77, were “sharing a vodka martini and hoping we don’t make too much of fuss”.
