Being in nature on warm summer days in Scotland can be a magical experience. During a recent workshop, we were fortunate that the infamous midges stayed away, thanks to a gentle warm breeze. This past week, I had the pleasure of guiding a wonderful couple from London on a spontaneous half-day nature photography experience while they stayed at the luxurious Gleneagles Hotel.
What I love most about these intimate workshops is the opportunity to connect with each client on a personal level, helping them enhance their photography skills and truly immerse themselves in the breathtaking beauty around them. Being out in nature nourishes the soul, especially on a beautiful, warm summer day.

With the success of my VIP Nature Photography workshops with Gleneagles over the past few years; I’m now adding a series of my own workshops.
The first location I’ve chosen is Orkney - quite simply a stunning island archipelago, the light there is just amazing. Each workshop is limited to 4 people; in part to limit the environmental impact as well as ensuring a more close knit grouping.
On the workshop we will visit the Old Man of Hoy, Yesnaby coastline, the Ring of Brodgar and the Isle of Sanday - we will also be using a drone if weather permits to shoot amazing aerial photos.

With COP26 now a distant memory I can now begin to show my Facebook network a series of films I was commissioned to produce for South of Scotland Enterprise in documenting a series of NetZero projects across the South of Scotland.
The first one - Berry bpi/Plaswood in Dumfries is about a recycling plant that re-uses industrial agricultural waste into garden furniture.
With an annual recycling capability of 150,000 tonnes this business is one of the leaders in creating and pushing for a NetZero economy in Scotland.
