"I used to have a woman who makes my hair,i came to love her as a friend too and so she would visit me at will with her beautiful daughter whom she said was rejected by the man she got preggers for.

She got sick and eventually died and left behind her 13 year old last year, because my daughters loved her mom and her, I begged her sisters to take her into my household. I asked my husband and he agreed.

Her name is Shalla. She is 13 but very industrious and kind like her mom. I had always loved her, she has very long and healthy hair and could also make hair like her mom almost as perfect. She would sometimes ask to make "all back" for me or my girls whom I instructed to treat her like a sister. It was blissful. Initially. It was as if God gave me a 3rd child.

One day, she knocked on my door and came Into the room and said to me "mummy I want tell you something" I sat up, I thought she had broken a plate like all of them usually do and then come to tell me nicely. I immediately said "have you swept and thrown it away? " she didn't say a word. Instead she started crying profusely. I thought she was missing her mom and so I told her to come and sit on my bed.

She came and sat with me. She told me the most devastating news I had heard in my 10 years of being married. How I survived it still remains a mystery

She said "Mummy, my pe**ee is paining me." I asked her why? Not expecting the bomb she threw, she said "Daddy has been putting his finger inside and yesterday blood came out." I was frozen but i managed to ask why she didn't telle the first day, it happened and how many times it happened. She said it has happened up to three times and that Daddy said he just wants to check if she has become a woman. I screamed and held her.

By the time i checked I had held her like that for almost an hour and crying profusely. In my state I saw her mother in my mind's eye crying too.

I didn't want to believe but here is a 13 year old child that summoned the courage to tell me her pain. I called my daughters and asked them if they felt any pain and they said they weren't.

I sat down helpless and waited for my husband to come. He came in with his usual high spirits. He noticed my very cold attitude but I told him I was just having my menstrual cycle and he believed me.

That night at about 2am I woke him up and asked him what had had happened btw him and the little girl and he flared up and started to scream. He said that the girl must leave his house. He was jumping Up and down while I watched him and read his body language.

I became very angry but didn't say a word. He left the room walked out. I was hyper confused. The atmosphere in the home changed. Tension everywhere. I moved my girls to my sister's without telling her what had happened.

I went back home to think. Of course my husband started ignoring me. A week later I came home and saw his mom and 2 older siblings looking very angry plus an elderly man that looked really funny.

He had reported the incident and they came for a mission. They were all talking at the same time and accusinh, cussing and threatening me. I had become scared and worried because I didn't accuse him, I only asked him if what the girl Told me was true.

All of a sudden, his mom told the elderly man to do what he came for. The man brought out kolanut and broke it, and asked me to swear that I was making up the story to discredit my husband. I was about to protest when one of them tore me a dirty slap. I got angry but there were more than me so I chilled.
I told them I didn't discredit him but only asked him questions based on what I had heard.

I told them I would swear if he would too. He said he wouldn't. At this point I them. To allow me call my older brother who lived a little distance away, that if comes I would swear gladly.

From the sound of my voice, my brother came with my sister whom I left my girls with. It was at that time they heard what had happened and told me to go ahead if only he would.

He kept resisting. And screaming like a lunatic. It was at that point the old man stopped and faced him. "Do you think i came here to joke, unu me ihea kam fuo ngaa" (you people should stop wasting my time and swear let me go)

My beloved husband became quiet for a bit and started to talk. He said he didn't really FINGER HER, he saw she was bleeding and wanted to know why!

I passed out. I woke up in my brother's house. I am consumed with shame and more shame on his behalf. I can't face my brother and even my sisters.

A week later I made up my mind to end my marriage. At least I am earning enough to do the needful.

Funny thing is my husband's sisters and even his mother are saying I brought in Shally to set a trap for my husband..
