It was great Crossing The Screen Film Festival
Are you as excited about the start of Crossing The Screen Film Festival as our lovely patron Jon Campling is? We certainly hope so! Today we have our pre-festival screening of 12th Hour at Leaf Hall Community Arts Centre at 18:30, but the official festival launch will be at The Grove Theatre Eastbourne tomorrow. We have so much in store for you this weekend that we can hardly wait! If you want Jon Campling Actor’s autograph, then make sure to get there between 7 and 7:45. Autographs are just 5 pounds (a 50% discount on his usual fee) and come with a free selfie with the man himself.
Jon Campling: The official patron of Crossing The Screen!
Meet our official patron Jon Campling ❤️ Jon has been a lover & active participant/supporter of independent cinema for over 30 years, originally as a means to get showreel clips as a newly graduated struggling actor, but he very soon chose the path as a deliberate career choice, leading him to work with some of the most creative people in the industry. Or perhaps it all started when, as a teenager, he accidentally rented Eraserhead alongside a forgettable Hollywood blockbuster.
With over 100 IMDb credits made up largely of independent cinema and a smattering of HARRY POTTER films.
Jon owes his reputation as 'cult' film actor (first given to him by indie film legend and @raindancefilmfestival powerhouse @elliot_grove) to the fearless world of indie film.
Given this history, Jon is incredibly honoured and excited to have been asked to be the latest patron of Crossing the Screen Film festival in his home town Eastbourne.

What have you got planned for 04/03 at 20:00? Nothing yet? Well make sure you come down to The Grove Theatre Eastbourne to watch The Fragile King Film by South African director Tristan Holmes.
Check out the trailer below!
THE FRAGILE KING
SOUTH AFRICA | 2022 | Drama | 95 Minutes | English
Gerald King is an old man, closer to death than life, who gets dumped with his 15-year-old grandson, when the child's mother dies in a drunken car crash. The boy, who barely knows his grandfather, is shocked into a new reality when he is dumped in Gerald’s flat in Durban by social services. The film pays homage to the filmmaker’s grandfather.
Do you want to catch ”Are We Monsters” by local filmmaker Seb Cox at Crossing The Screen Film Festival? Then get yourself down to The Grove Theatre Eastbourne at 13:00 on 4th March! In the meantime, check out the trailer here:
