Thoughts with family of former Dundee United Football Club goalkeeper Alex Brown who's died at 87.
The -raised Fifer was Tannadice keeper for four years - including club winning top flight promotion in 1960.
Alex went on to play for Greenock Morton FC - - including 1963 Scottish League Cup Final v Rangers FC when he played in front of a record 105 000 crowd at Hampden.
He went on to play for Raith Rovers FC before becoming well known in Junior and Amateur football coaching circles - even winning a trophy at Hampden as coach of Norton House.

The Methil born keeper, who played a key role in Dundee United's promotion to top flight football in 1959/1960, went on to play for Morton and Raith Rovers after 90 appearances for the Tannadice club.
