Updated: Scores of homes in Annan are without power this morning.
Many schools locally have closed. The full list is on the council website.
Various trees have fallen, blocking roads so take care if travelling.
There's no trains running anywhere this morning.
Updates to follow through the day.

Storm Isha is already causing chaos around the area this evening.
There's reports of a fallen tree causing an accident nea Lochmaben and trees down on roads near Waterbeck and Kirkpatrick Fleming too and at The Howes in Annan.
Unless your journey is urgent, the advice is to avoid travelling.

STORM Isha is on the way and due to hit Dumfries and Galloway tonight.
The Met Office have issued an amber weather warning for very strong winds in the region through the night to Monday.
They are forecasting gusts of 50-60 mph, with 80 mph possible in coastal stretches.
Motorists should take care on the roads and limit their speed.

UPDATE: Storm Gerrit is wreaking havoc out there.
We've had reports of a tree down on the B722 near Hotts Farm, Waterbeck; the Kirtle Burn has burst its banks in the same area (pictured); there's a lot of standing water in the middle of Eaglesfield and difficulties at Hoddom Bridge.
Flood warnings are in place for Langholm.
Driving conditions are also difficult on the A75, pictured.
The Met Office have released a yellow weather warning for the region, lasting til midnight tonight and police are advising anyone venturing out to take care.

Breaking news: Two more arrests have been made in the Paul Taylor murder case.
Cumbria Police this morning arrested a 20-year-old man from Penrith and a 47-year-old woman from Carlisle on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The pair remain in police custody.
